Strange Addiction [Haikyuu]

Chapter Six

Tsukishima ended the call throwing his phone onto his sofa. His heart was racing. He heard the vibration of his heart beats in his ears. He took a moment to catch his breathe, he felt so out of breath as if he just finished running a whole marathon. 'Damn did I sound too obvious? I can't talk to him right now. I need to figure this out.'

Tsukishima stood from his sofa and made his way back to his bedroom to find proper clothing to wear. He wasn't lying about his schedule, he did have plans for his monthly lunch with his mom. Before he moved out she made him promise they would see each other at least once a month. She loved her sons unconditionally and wanted to be sure they remembered that and to be sure they stayed in each others lives. He turned his phone back on to send his mother a quick text to see if she was able to meet up at their normal spot. Once he sent the message he received a message from Tadashi.

  Tsukishima smiled as he read the message. 'I don't need to tell him right now. It was only one time.' He sent a heart to Tadashi before placing his phone on his charger and went to take a quick shower. He needed the disgusting feeling to get off him. Maybe he would take a longer shower to be sure he was fully clean.

  It was was close to 10:30am when Tsukishima made it to his and his mother's spot they usually met up for lunch. Though since he had a photo shoot soon they were meeting up for brunch instead. His mother also mentioned about his brother, Akiteru, may join them, if he could make it. He was busy with his own job and life so Tsukishima never really got to see him, though Akiteru always managed to call him whenever he was free just to check up on him. Just about ten minutes of waiting, Tsukishima spotted his mother walking into the small cafe.

  Her hair has grown, passing her shoulders, and if look closely you could some of her gray roots coming in, though she still looked young for her age. She never remarried after her divorce when Tsukishima was back in elementary, she really had no interest and was perfectly happy with her two boys. She took care of them perfectly as a single mother. She wasn't interested in marrying in the first place but after her and her boyfriend at the time found out she was expecting, both of their parents persuaded them to marry. They mentioned it would be good for themselves and the child. After having first child they found themselves expecting again, though at this time they started having trouble with their marriage. Luckily for them it ended on good terms. They simply just lost feelings for one either as time went on, and he still payed for child support until both kids were at the right age. Tsukishima's mother was happy as ever, all she needed in her life were her two boys.

  She spotted Tsukishima and joined him at the table. "I got your usual, is that alright?" She nodded her head and grabbed Tsukishima's hand.

  "How've you been hon'?"

  "I've been alright. As you saw, my team didn't win our last match so now we've been practicing for the next season. He's been on our asses, but hey, it is what it is. Now that I've got more free time since we're not on the matching schedule, modeling companies have been reaching out to me. I have a session around three."

  "I'm sorry, y'all did amazing though. I'm so proud of how far you've come. I've even seen some of your shoots in magazines, makes me so proud." Tsukishima couldn't help but give his mother a small smile. It felt nice when other people rather than just Tadashi realized how hard he's been working. "How about school? Hopefully it's not too much."
