Sophie POV:

"CAUSE SHADE NEVER MADE ANYBODY LESS GAY SOOO," Keefe and I have been screaming along to Taylor Swift for the past hour and a half and I have no doubt that we might regret that when our voices are GONE tomorrow morning. Also I'm pretty sure every car that has passed us on the road is seriously concerned for our mental health. And honestly, sometimes I am too.

Keefe and I have been dating for almost four months now, and it has been the best four months of my life. We're both pretty crazy, but I love it. He takes me on a ton of "little adventures" as he likes to call them, and today we're going up to the mountains for a hike. I can tell he's really excited, and I can't help but be really excited too. When we get there, Keefe turns off the music then turns to me and winks. So of course, I blush. I feel like that's all I do these days.

As I hop out of the car and head towards the back to grab my backpack, my clumsy self trips over a rock and all I can do is put my arms out and hope it doesn't turn into another Foster Falling Fiasco (as Keefe calls them). After a few moments I realize that I'm not hitting the ground and I open my eyes to see that Keefe caught me.

"Wow Foster, you just can't stop falling for me," He teases as he smirks. I can feel the heat rising up to my cheeks and I try to stand up as quickly as possible. Unfortunately, that leads to me tripping on ANOTHER rock. Seriously how many rocks have it out to get me?! Keefe catches me again and to avoid further humiliation I stand up and start towards the trail before he can say anything.

The whole way up Keefe is either making me blush like crazy or laugh so hard that it's impossible to stop. I'm having a hard time choosing between kissing him or pushing him off the mountain.

About half way up, we see a lookout point and go sit down on the bench. The view is breath-taking, and we both just sit there for a while looking out at the horizon. Suddenly Keefe turns to me and says, "You know, this view is the second most beautiful thing I've ever seen."

With the way he is staring at me, I have a pretty good idea of what the first is. I probably look like a tomato at this point, but I ask anyway.

"And what's the first?"

His mouth starts to form a word, but he changes it at the last second.

"Me." He then jumps off the bench, and starts running through the trees cackling. I'm so flustered for a moment that I just sit there with my mouth open. Once I realize what's happening I start running after him, but I can't catch up to him no matter how fast I run.

"WHY ARE YOUR LEGS SO FREAKING LONG?!" I shout, still struggling to keep him in sight. He just laughs and runs even faster. I slow down breathing so hard I'm sure anyone within a 10 mile radius can hear me. I start shouting Keefe's name because I can't see him anywhere. When he doesn't respond I start to get really worried.

"KEEFE? Seriously, where are you? This isn't funny!!" Due to all the scream-singing in the car it barely even sounds like a shout. When he still doesn't respond I slow down to a VERY cautious walk. I hear a twig snap behind me and I jump and then stumble on the rock I land on. When I look behind me, I don't see anything and I start to freak out. What if he fell or a snake bit him? What if he's lost? What if----Before my mind can spin out of control I shout his name one more time.

"KEEFE ARE YOU OKAY?" I swear if he's joking around I might actually push him off the cliff.

All the sudden someone jumps out in front of me and shouts, "ROAARR!!" I scream and try to run, but I trip on another FREAKING ROCK. The mystery monster catches me and I look up to see Keefe laughing his head off.

"ARE YOU KIDDING ME I THOUGHT YOU WERE DEAD WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT TO ME" I screamed. He just keeeps laughing and manages to choke out

"I can't--believe---you---fell for that!!!!" He just continues laughing, almost falling into the dirt while I cross my arms in mock anger. It takes all I can not to fall over laughing with him. Eventually I do, and I'm pretty sure we were like that for 5 minutes. Suddenly we see a group of people walking towards us on the trail and we stand up really quickly and start walking away from them. Keefe just continues laughing as I blush and try to get him to quiet down.

We look around and realize we've reached the top. Keefe plops on the ground, and pats the spot next to him. I scrunch my nose, not wanting to sit in the dirt. But I make the mistake of looking at him as he does puppy dog eyes and fake pouts. I giggle and roll my eyes, but sit down next to him anyway.

"Ya know Foster, I was teasing earlier, but you are the most beautiful thing I've ever seen." He says it so quietly I almost don't hear it. I look at him waiting for his smirk or some form of teasing. But when I look in his ice blue eyes, the seriousness in them makes my breath catch.

"Really?" I whisper back.

"Really." Then his famous smirk returns and I can't help but smile. I turn back to the view of the sunset, and rest my head on his shoulder. He gently wraps his arm around me and leans his head on mine.

"I love you," I think, not sure if I'm ready to say it out loud yet. But when he whispers, "I love you too Foster." I realize that I did. And much to my surprise, I don't regret it. It feels right. HE feels right. And I can't wait to see what little adventures our love will take us on.
