"Y/N, come on," you heard a familiar voice, it gave you a headache, "Wake up, Pigface. Let's move it."
Opening your eyes slowly, you saw Felix's face filling up your view. He smiled as your eyes began to focus on him, laughing while he leaned back to pet the orange and white tabby cat that was cuddled onto your stomach. You startled up as a black cat joined the other, both nuzzling warmly into your lap. Your eyes snapped the rest of the way open as you remembered whaat made you pass out in the first place.
Hybrids!
"Hey. Hey!" Felix cupped your face in his hands, 'Stay with me."
His friendly smile and familiar voice helped calm you down. Subconsciously you pet the cats along with him, their purring giving you a sense of peace that poked through your fears.
"What is going on?" you asked quietly, darting your eyes to the four men sitting across the room on the other couch.
"You freaked out," Felix explained coolly, continuing to help you run your hands over the soft fur, "Your houseguests took your phone and, from what they've explained, pushed buttons until someone answered, which was me." He chuckled helping you sit up all the way, slowly so you didn't disturb the animals in your lap, "When I got here, I freaked out a bit as well at first."
"Threatened to kick our asses," the man with back ears grumbled, earning a nudge from the one with brown ears.
"I did," Felix laughed, "But they gave me a note from Mrs. Farnsworth, explaining that these were her babies that you had agreed to take care of while she went to be with her sick mother."
"I didn't agree to this," you protested, "She asked if I would watch her pets...oh god," you looked at the cats in your lap, then up at the men across the room, "You are her pets?"
"Yeah," the handsome wolf rubbed the back of his neck shyly, "We've been with Granny for a while now. She hasn't taken us out much, but she's really sweet." He looked at you with concern, "Why would you agree to have us stay with you, if you have such a deep fear of hybrids?"
He didn't look offended by your fears, just genuinely concerned. You looked at Felix, giving him a quick glare before turning back to the wolf-man. Sighing, you hung your head.
"I didn't know you were hybrids," you admitted, "I thought you were...you know...regular pets." You looked around the room, "And I didn't know there would be so many of you."
"Ah," the brown-eared man said, "That all makes much more sense now."
"Listen," Felix caught your attention once again, "You were out for a bit, so I've been talking with the guys here," he motioned to all of them, "And they don't have anywhere else to go. If you want, I can tick around until you get comfortable or until Mrs. Farnsworth comes back." He bent down and picked up the biggest black bunny you had ever seen in your entire life, "Can you really say no to this face?"
