Percy's POV
Sitting here with Annabeth, listening to scary stories told by the Ares cabin and singing funny songs about demigods who lost their clothes was really fun. It would've been perfect, but Bella just had to ruin it. I could tell that her being a demigod was really bugging Annabeth and I had no idea what to do. One thing I did know was that we were going to have to talk to Bella sometime, and probably after we find out who here godly parent is. I don't really know who her parent could be... she has too many different personality traits and I know that she couldn't be big three. She isn't very powerful and she just, she just can't be. Okay? She just can't be...
We just sang the last line of the last song. It was something about Hercules losing each piece of armor? One at a time? I don't know, but being with all of my friends, it didn't really matter what normal mortals would think of us (and they would probably think we are really really weird). It was great to be back home.
I put my arm around Annabeth and kissed her head, pulling her closer to me. I then wrapped the blanket I had brought around both of us because it started to get a little colder. I looked at Rachel, Thalia, Grover and Nico who were sitting next to us and they were smiling, happy to see us so happy. Just then Chiron walked up to center stage.
"Welcome, campers. And a big welcome to our returning heroes, Percy Jackson, Annabeth Chase and Thalia Grace, I'm extremely glad you could join us. So a warm welcome for our saviors of Olympus!" We got a huge round of applause. I stood up and took a bow.
"Oh sit down Seaweed Brain!" Thalia and Annabeth yelled at the same time, rolling their eyes and smiling, "big ego much?"
I threw my hands up in defense, "What?" I sit back down as Chiron continues.
"As you know Rachel, our new oracle, foretold a new prophecy, but I have been alerted that it will not come to pass for a little while," I noticed that he emphasized little, so an uh-oh there... I wonder when it will take place, and will I end up being part of it? Oh, god, I hope not...
"Anyways, please enjoy your smores and--"
Just then, someone near the Hermes cabin section glowed a soft grey, a large book appearing overhead. Huh, was there a new camper? I think to myself. Oh no, it can't be!
"All hail, Bella Steen, daughter of Athena, goddess of wisdom, battle field strategies, crafts."
I heard Annabeth gasp and I looked down at her. She looked furious as realization struck her. Bella was her half-sister.
I watched as she got up and stormed off, running what looked like the direction of her cabin. I took a quick look at all of the campers, most were just like whatever, but those who knew us and mainly those who had heard about Bella, looked extremely surprised and a bit angry. I got up and walked towards the Athena cabin, looking for Annabeth. As I reached the door I heard two people's voices, one was obviously Annabeth's and the other sounded like Athena's.
"How could you create such a thing mom?!? She is a monster. She isn't worthy to be your daughter!"
"Now Annabeth--"
"She isn't even that smart. She doesn't even have grey eyes for gods sake!"
"Well, actually, she does have grey eyes, she just wears contacts because I think she is ashamed of the greyness..."
"Oh my gods, a daughter of Athena who isn't smart and doens't have pride in being your daughter. I can't believe this!"
"Annabeth, listen, I'm sorry you feel this way okay? But just remember, you will always be my favorite child. You have made me so proud and you are still making me proud. To make it up to you, I-I'll try to my hardest to accept your relationship with the Sea spaw- sorry, Percy. Though I don't like it, I'll do my best to accept it. I have to go now, but don't forget what I said." As I heard Annabeth sigh I walked in the room and Athena was no longer there.
