#29 What he/she does when you can't sleep

Raphael

He immediately notices when you struggle to fall asleep. You get very active then and turn yourself from one side to another, from laying on your stomach to laying onto your back, throwing the blanket away, just to get it back five mintes later. He just holds you then, placing you on your back and putting your head onto his lap, stroking your hair. He knows when you move, you'll wake yourself up even more, so holding you is all he can do.

Alec

You tend to sleep at the Dumort during the day, but because you are plagued with nightmares, on the days where Alec doesn't have a mission, he lies next to you and holds you close. "Don't worry," he whispers to you, "I'll fight off the bad dreams" It makes you giggle. "With your bare hands?" "Obviously." He stokes your hair until you fall asleep, and carries on lying with you until nightfall.

Jace

After he noticed that you had trouble falling asleep pretty often, he brought one of the pianos into his room, so he can play for you. It calms you down and sends all the thoughts away. You enjoy hearing him play, just as much as he enjoys playing for you.

Meliorn

He is a really caring person, so when you have trouble falling asleep he will ask what's wrong and what's on your mind. After talking to him you usually feel a lot better and you fall asleep. While you tell him about your inner demons and ghosts he stays silent, just stroking you.

Isabelle

Izzy knows several lullabys. She says that Jace often sang them to her when she was younger and her mother didn't bother. Now she is the one singing them to you. She sits next to you, stroking your arm and holding your hand and sings/humms several lullabies to you.

Maia

Maia swears that warm milk with honey is the way to go, when you can't sleep, so she will just get you that and force you to drink it. You never believed in it, but it truly helps. After you drink the milk, you two cuddle and you fall asleep in her caring arms.

Magnus

Since Magnus is really old, he has a lot of stories to tell and that's what he does. He cuddles with you while telling you all sorts of tales and stories. His soothing voice makes you calm down. While imagining the scenarios in your head you forget about everything else and slowly drift away in a deep and peaceful sleep.

Will

When you can't sleep, Will comes over and brushes your hair. He swears you are like a Labrador sometimes, as you love having your hair played with. It relaxes you. When he finishes your hair, he gets you a hot drink and holds your hand until you fall asleep. He leaves, but he writes you a note to wake up to.

Jem

Jem trains with you to expel all of the thoughts that are keeping you up. He trains you hard, and by the time you are finished you are so exhausted that its easy to sleep. It may sound brutal, but it works and you are grateful for it.

Jordan

He plays you a soft ballad on his guitar until you fall asleep, smiling. You love hearing Jordan play, almost as much as you love playing music yourself. It soothes you and makes you realise that nothing bad will happen whilst he's there.

Tessa

Tessa takes away whatever it is that's stressing you. She uses her warlock power to relax you. After, she won't leave your side until you're sound asleep.
