*horror-esque elements

*short prompt of what could be a horror AU - LADYFINGERS STYLE PROMPT

*jungkook's dead and becomes a demonic-like monster and the gang try to help him

*implied namkook - jungkook has a crush on joonie but the "demon" amplifies and intensifies it to unhealthy extreme levels

*TW: major character 'death', unhealthy (almost obsessive) behaviour, demonic imagery, implied ableism - 'craziness' and disregard of mental illness, body modification/body horror (i.e bones cracking but not too descriptive)

silence is futile - NAMJOON CENTRIC

"i can't believe that we're actually about to dig up his grave", seokjin replied with the tone of disgust heavy in his voice. his face scrunched up in discomfort at the situation.

"seokjin-hyung, for the last time, we need to check if jungkook's body is actually in the coffin to see if the demon is possessing someone him and not just his soul", jimin explained, with more grit and annoyance in his voice now than it had when they first arrived. "so please for the love of god, pick up that fucking shovel and help dig." putting out emphasis on the last two words to make it very clear what they needed to do.

no one wanted to do this. it was the middle of the night, in the middle of november, where a frequent chill came over the country of south korea. they were exhausted at having to run away and find clues as to what happened to jungkook and what exactly took over his body and mind all those years ago.

hoseok still regrets not being able to help him; he always saw something that wasn't there, invisible to the human eye but yet jungkook saw it every day. the fear and paranoia washed over him like a tsunami - the medication he took barely seemed to help, jungkook dreaded going to sleep as his dreams were like a way of it 'getting into' his mind. as a result, his insomnia clawed onto him, he ate enough to satisfy his stomach which was either a lot or very little.
