eye of the tiger - NAMGI

VISITING TIME WAS RARE for him, almost impossible.

The prison that he was in was more like a concrete jungle - a place that was purely fear factor to the newbies and survival for the seasoned prisoners, the one with more experience. Good old Moldavite Heights.

Living there seems to be a battle of the mind rather than physical labour. The prison is filled with bums like him; blood thirsty brutes who committed the worst possible crimes imaginable. Most of the time, when you get a life sentence you get transferred to this exact prison. Being on death row is a luxury; placed on a floor at the top of the building with a somewhat clean cell and better food.

The food down at the cafeteria is alright at best. Lukewarm soup and meat, stale and moldy bread, fruit and veg that were days away from rotting. He expected to get utter garbage when he got sent to prison so the soup and meat are practically a godsend.

The showers blast out either lukewarm or freezing cold water, but at least their towels get cleaned and he gets fresh jumpsuits, strangely enough, the soap smells nice; lemon and orange.

His prison cell became a source of comfortability. The toilet was mere steel and he gets toilet paper once in a while. His "bed" was a slat of cheap, cheap memory foam and squished down pillows. The blanket covers him somewhat and his sheets regularly get washed (every 2 weeks).

But there's a difference between a human prison cell and the one that he resides in. This cell is a beige-grey box reinforced with something special - the concrete bricks that make up this prison have a structure made up of metal infused concrete. Little orbs of metal from the sacred lands of Xthula that can absorb energy and power like a super sponge. Any superpowered being that comes near it has their powers either diminished or practically stolen. It's called fenestra chaos - 'window of chaos'.
