Thomas stepped out of the carriage. He was wearing a colorful outfit, much more colorful than any outfit that was going to be at the party.

Thomas frowned upon seeing the mansion. He sighed.

He had to do this for his family, so he took a deep breath and walked up the stairs and inside the building. He looked around as everyone was partying elegantly.

Thomas looked around at the grand interior and the chandelier that hung over the crowd. Thomas walked through a door and into a darkly lit hallway, illuminated only by the moon. Thomas only looked around and when he was about to return to the room, he saw something yellow out of the corner of his eye.

Thomas hummed. The yellow thing glowed and moved closer to Thomas. He looked closely and saw that it looked a lot like a butterfly...

"Janus...?" Thomas's mouth opened a bit, a bit shocked to see his friend from the place he left years ago.

The yellow butterfly moved away from Thomas and went down the hall.

"W-Wait...!" Thomas went after him. He knew it would look weird to see a person wearing a colorful outfit following a yellow butterfly, but Thomas had to know how this happened.

The butterfly flew into a room. Thomas went into the room, but Janus was nowhere to be seen.

"Janus... where'd you go?" Thomas muttered. He needed to be quiet as to not alert anyone he was in here. Thomas looked around and saw Janus sitting on a shelf in front of a mirror. He watched as Janus flew up and went into the mirror. The mirror glowed for a few seconds. Thomas was in awe of what happened, "H-How...?"

Thomas walked up to the mirror and placed his hand on it. The mirror glowed and Thomas gasped. He pulled his hand away. He wondered for a minute.

"Might as well..." Thomas muttered and slowly went into the mirror.
