HEYWARDS WAS FUCKING HOT AND STUFFY Anissa couldn't stand it. Rafe's words continued to ring out in her head 'You fucked with the wrong one' Kiara told her not to mind it because he was just a 'privileged rich kook-y white boy who thinks he runs the world'

JJ, Pope and Kie were still talking about the fight last night "I don't know man I just acted off of instinct"

"Yes"

"I was a cornered animal" Pope gestures and Kiara and Anissa snicker "It was badass"

Anissa looks at Kiara "Penny for your thoughts"

She turns to face the other girl looking at her beautiful brown orbs "There are too many of them, you're gonna have to be empty your purse"

"Well tell me one"

"It's more of a question but what are we, what is this?" Kiara asks hesitantly gesturing between them

Anissa pulls her to the side with a smile "What do you want it to be"

"I want to us to be a thing" Kiara says grabbing her hand

Anissa smirks "And that would make me your..."

"Girlfriend" she mumbles blushing deeply "You're my girlfriend" and she quickly kisses Anissa then hugs her tightly.

"Hey Pope someone's here to see you"
When the group sees an Officer come round the corner they all freeze

"Fuck fuck fuck"

"Evening Officer" Pope says nervously

"I have a warrant for felony destruction of property" She drowns everything out from then on and watches as the scene plays out slowly.

She looks over at Kiara who is shouting but she can't hear a word. JJ looks on in shock.

"Hey chill be careful"

"Fuck those Kooks man"

JJ runs out after Pope but Heyward stops him until he shouts "I did it"

"What the fuck are you doing JJ" Anissa whispers harshly

He walks up and gives himself up
"No JJ no please"

As JJ is out into the police SUV Anissa crouches and shouts "Fucks sake" Pope storms inside and Kiara wraps her in a hug.

Sienna cuts a slice of cake handing it to Anissa "So Maybanks threw himself under the bus" Anissa hums shoving a forkful of the red velvet cake into her mouth.

"Can we adopt JJ" Sienna chokes on her slice

"Dude are you high"

"He's being abused Auntie, I can see it. I see the fear in his eyes when you say the word 'dad' it's the same fear I had when someone would say 'Audrey' I've seen the bruises. That's not discipline it's abuse and he might kill him. She nearly killed me. It's what they do" Anissa says angrily looking down "I haven't felt a connection to someone like I have felt towards JJ, he's my brother. That's it. That's why we need to save him"

"Ani is not that easy, it takes a long time and he'll be stuck there for a long time" Sienna sighs "I wanna help Maybanks just as much a you sweetie but there needs be a lack of guardianship for that to happen but" Anissa smiles at her aunt "I will try okay"

"Okay thank you so much I love you soooo much" and Sienna hums and Anissa kisses her cheek "Night love you"

"Night love you"

"Hurry up before she hears you. Grab my hand" Anissa whispers holding her hand out to JJ who was currently climbing up the side of her house.

He clasps her hand and pulls himself up onto her balcony. They stand there staring at each other. Anissa looks at the new wounds all over his face, reaching out to touch them. He allows her hand to hover over them as the tears fall. JJ covers his face furiously wiping tears away "I hate it all man"

Anissa clutches him into a hug "It's okay, it's okay"
