Dirty Heroes
by Jennifer Axder on March 29. © All rights reserved
Dirty they call the ones who fell.
Heroes that no longer can be mend.
They fought and got slaughtered for those who called them names.
Without knowing that they had been betrayed.
They got tortured and played with, humiliated, and disgraced.
In ways, no man can think of these days.
You who ignored their dear cries again and again,
As you were singing your children's lullabies and could not comprehend.
But remember even they had children who they had loved.
And a day will come when the children will only have revenge on their minds,
For they would want revenge for what you did with your power and might.
And there will be no place you can escape on earth,
With your power and lies.
