Chapter - 11 Truth (ii)

Richa pushed him aside and went in the room.

Khushi was shocked to see the same girl from that night when she saw Arnav in the club.

"What are you doing here? Ohh...I am sorry but Arnav forced me to stay in his room...I just go" she really wanted to run from this situation

"Khushi....she is not..." Arnav said angrily but Khushi didn't listen and tried to get on her feet to get on her wheelchair.

"Khushi bhabhi...i am here for you both..."

Her words halted Khushi bhabhi? Richa came forward to the Khushi side and kneeled in front of her.

"Yes bhabhi, Aman Bhai told me everything about what is happening and that's why I came rushing here. Look you are getting all wrong." Then she explained exactly what happened that night. "If Arnav Bhai wasn't there don't know what would have happened with me." Khushi looked at Arnav.

Aman came forward "it's true bhabhi ...I was not there so I got so panicked and Arnav was the only person who can get her out. Whom I can trust with my sister and my life"

Arnav sat on the couch in front of her "Khushi I have never been in a relationship...Vikram was the one who met you every time. He was taking revenge from me"

"Revenge?" Khushi asked confused

"Yes, bhabhi...once Arnav beat him for misbehaving or to be precise forcing a girl in with some guys. Arnav was disgusted by him so he cut his ties with him. He even stopped talking to him but he apologized genuinely, or so we thought then, and Arnav forgave him but now this is the way he is taking his revenge. He knew Arnav wanted to marry you so he talked you both in a different way so that you both split up and Arnav will be broken..." Aman explained.

"Khushi I never knew you were trying to talk to me or meet me and we guys have been good friends so anyone of us can take each other phone for call or message and to my ill fate whenever you had called it was Vikram who talked and answered you and then he deleted it number and message from my phone. He called you at such places where he can show the scene differently. Like in CCD...that girl was my other friend sister who was getting married that week and the thing you heard was the topic Vikram started...even I wouldn't have known if you didn't mention that night we fought. He was the one who continuously said you could have someone in your life that's why you don't want this marriage... I was so tensed that you don't want me and tried to talk to you also but since you already had wrong image of me you didn't want to talk to me and it angered me and I foolishly hurt you ....trust me Khushi I really wanted to talk to you about us..." he looked hopefully in her eyes.

"Bhabhi please believe bhai...he is telling truth...it's all Vikram who played with you and Arnav Bhai...at least once think about it..." Richa pleaded her

Khushi didn't say anything but sat still on a wheelchair...Richa wanted to talk more but Aman stopped her and took her out telling Arnav they should be leaving now. He quickly hugged Arnav giving him strength and left.

Arnav came inside and went to Khushi who was looking at nothing. He knew its too much to absorb as he kneeled in front of her. "Khushi.." he said holding her hand.. "I know all of this is too much for you... I am not saying to trust me right away or accept me in your life but I just want you to give me a chance to prove myself to you. I am sorry for what I said to you that night. I never meant anything but I was scared to lose you, angry that you didn't told me anything, hurt that you don't find me good enough but not for a moment I wanted you hurt but look at my fate.. I became the reason for all your situations and then this accident." Khushi still didn't say anything but her tears said everything.

"Khushi.. I know whatever happened shouldn't have but it's true that I have always loved you and only you and I am always with you. I will accept whatever your decision will be..."

"I want to be alone...Please" she whispered.

Arnav sighed and left the room. He read the letter by her office again cursing himself again. She was trying to keep her job that day when he blasted on her...No..I can't let this happen...at least I can rectify my this mistake. His thought broke with sounds of sobs which were coming from inside the room.

Khushi can't believe all this time there was so much more to the story...she thought over and over their words, the incidents she visited...he loves her? right from then? how can anyone even like her let alone love her? she had known this fact all her life...no..she can't be loved...she is a dead person...what should she do? she doesn't know anything.

The next morning, Khushi found herself in bed but Arnav was nowhere. Kaki told he had gone out somewhere. He was on leave right? But she can't ask that. He came late in evening and made her eat dinner but didn't speak a word...it pinched Khushi...even though she knew he was giving her space. She wanted him to say something but even in all this he never stopped taking care of her...she recalled his every stare...his every move to ensure her safety, his take care, he was innocent and that made her think only one thing...he deserve better...better than her...but what about them? She don't know.

While Arnav got to know how she lost her earlier job. Her parents forced her to resign and he felt so angry. It happened when her mother called him to know about them. He didn't answer about their current state but asked about her being in job when she revealed it. He had cut the line and he doesn't wish to know what made them think he will not like working wife.

Two days later he was feeding her dinner when he spoke first time. "It's your appointment tomorrow with doctor. We will leave around 10." she nodded. He gave her medicine and took plates out and came back giving her a envelope. For a moment Khushi heart throbbed with fear...is he finally letting her go?

He left the room letting her read the letter. She opened to read and was shocked. She held a letter of apology and get well soon wishes from her office as well as her fine was called off. But how all this happened? Everything pointed to one thing Arnavv...How did he do this? A tear dropped from her eyes on the paper.

Arnav saw her reaction hiding from her view and he smiled seeing her relieved face. He had gone to her office and blasted on her head supervisor and made sure they wrote an apology to her. He was now at peace. As soon as kaki went away he locked doors and came to his room and saw Khushi trying to fold her hand and pray. He smiled as he made his bed

"Thank you..." Khushi said looking down in her lap.

He turned and saw picture she made. She is adorable. "There is nothing to thank Khushi...this is what you rightfully deserved. Now sleep tight we have to go hospital tomorrow." He lay on his couch and closed his eyes.

Khushi stared at him for a while "But it's not what you deserve" She whispers to herself. She wiped her flowing tear and slept off.
