Eijiro clenched his eyes tight as another boom of thunder reached his ears. The shudders on his windows rattled, but the noise was practically nothing compared to the thunder. His hands shook as they barely held up the coffee mug he drank out of. The only thing enjoyable about this whole week was the creamer filled coffee in his hand.

He wanted to take a nap, but his mind wouldn't let him sleep. Not to mention the storm outside had him scared shitless. He was wrapped in a camouflage patterned blanket and sitting with his knees to his chest. Being twenty-two, huddling next to his kitchen counter in his apartment that he lived in alone and flinching at the sudden storm was not how he expected his Friday night to go, but there wasn't much he could do about it.

He took another deep breath and another sip of coffee as he dreaded the next sound of thunder. However, the next sound he heard was much quieter. He turned his head to his door, the source of the small sound. Confused at why anyone would be at his door, Eijiro mentally pulled himself together and stood up. His hands were shaky still from the astraphobia (fear of thunder and lightning) but he managed to make it to his couch.

As soon as he did, another earsplitting crack of thunder made him flinch. In the chaos, his grip on his mug loosened, and he watched as his favorite (and one of his only mugs) coffee mug fell to the ground and shattered. He muttered curses and he bent down to pick the remnants up.

Again, he heard a knock. He walked over to the door, trying not to think about how bad coffee could stain his floor. He quickly turned the knob and pulled the wood toward him. He was met with a mass of spiky, blond hair.

"Oh Katsuki!" Eijiro greeted, a smile eloping his face. He got a small nod and grunt in return. The redhead took a moment to take in his friend's appearance. He had heavy bags under his eyes, and his hair was more of a mess than it usually was. His clothes weren't soaked, but there was evidence of the rain outside on his the sweater he was wearing. It was then that Eijiro noticed the drenched umbrella bag in Katsuki's hand. Eijiro's smile fell; Katsuki looked like he had a rough day. "Come in," the redhead said quietly. Katsuki nodded and made his way into the small apartment.

The blond put his umbrella down next the the door. Eijiro shut the door, a frown still pulling at his lips.

"Make yourself at home," he said a bit worriedly. Katsuki nodded and fell face first onto Eijiro couch. He let out a loud groan and kicked his shoes off. Eijiro almost let out a laugh at his childish behavior, but then a boom of thunder reached his ears. He flinched and let out a small shriek. Katsuki looked up from the couch. "Sorry," the redhead apologized. Katsuki rolled his eyes and looked out the window.

"The thunder is loud right now," he said.

"You didn't notice?" Eijiro asked. Katsuki rolled his eyes and placed his glasses on the coffee table next to him before putting his face back on the couch cushions. He let out a loud sigh that could barely be heard over the sound of raindrops hitting the glass windows. Eijiro went over to his couch and crouched down next to Katsuki's head. He gave the blond a smile (that he couldn't see). "You wanna talk?" Katsuki audibly sighed again and turned his head enough to glare at his friend.

"I guess," the blond sighed, "But not right now. Your house smells like coffee, and your couch is comfortable. I would like to enjoy this before we start talking about my bullshit." Eijiro chuckled a bit and offered making coffee for his friend. Katsuki accepted and followed the other into the kitchen.
