"Asahi!" Sugawara yelled as his feet was dragged off the floor to toss the ball to Asahi who ran and jumped highly.
Asahi withdrew his arm back to get more power and spiked the ball with all his might. Unfortunately, the opponents were faster. The blockers jumped and completely shut Asahi's spike.
The ball hit our court with a loud thud. Everybody inside of the court looked helpless as the whistle blew. To be honest, the benched players looked apologetically at our ace.
"Sorry, Asahi-san. My receive isn't good." Nishinoya apologized as he patted Asahi's back.
"Don't mind, Asahi." Daichi encouraged him as he bend his knees.
"One more." Sugawara half-yelled. The ace forced a smile at his teammates and nodded.
Our opponent was the Date Tech with the score of fifteen to nine, in favor of the opposing team. Set one.
The Date Tech's girls' volleyball team that our team defeated last year was so much different than the boys' volleyball team. Sure, both teams have big and tall players but the boys' team was more superior.
Not only they were humongous, they were also really good at blocking. They were called the Iron Wall of Date Tech and they sure live up to their name.
The opponent served the ball, it went flying to the back row which Daichi received effortlessly. It perfectly went to Sugawara who was waiting for the ball to slowly drop so he could toss it.
"Open!" Asahi shouted as he held his arm up. Sugawara looked at Asahi and nodded firmly. He set his eyes at the falling ball once again and jumped slightly to toss it.
It was a high toss, slightly away from the net. That was Asahi's most preferred toss. It was the perfect toss.
Asahi ran and jumped to spike the ball. Nobody was there to block him. We thought that spike will finally hit their court. But we were wrong.
The huge guy with white hair without eyebrows responded quickly to Asahi's incoming spike. He quickly ran and blocked the spike using his two long arms.
