Many weeks have past. Nishinoya and I have gotten more closer than ever, whether if I was pretending to be Saru or I was just being Sakura.
The sun was setting, its orange color tainting the once blue skies. Birds flying over the skies.
I went to the hospital to check on Saru. It's been awhile since I last visited. I was busy because of exams and practices.
The moment I entered his room, my mother was there and she was staring at Saru.
Saru was still the same. His body was really thin and he was being supported by a lot of tubes connected to his body. His hair already reached his shoulders.
"Mom..." I breathe out. She finally noticed me. She grinned and walked closer to hug me.
My mother was warm, her hug was soothing and gentle. I sniffed her scent which smelled like caramel and wrapped my arms and hug her tightly.
"Sakura, it's been awhile." her smile hadn't faded away yet. She pulled away and I looked at her with a smile on my face. "It's good to see you, Mom."
Mom had been busy with work lately. She rarely goes home. Usually when her work is done, she would go straight to the hospital and sleep there. She would only go to the house to eat or bathe.
I could see that Saru's condition changed Mom, even me honestly. It changed everything. Literally everything.
Mom let me go and started to rummaged through the stuff I bought from a nearby convenience store. "How's school?"
"School is good. The only thing I hate is when girls started to surround my desk." I confessed. My mother only laughed.
"They're even squealling when I walk pass them. It's annoying, really." I added. My mother laughed harder. "Well now we know Saru attracts girls."
