This door closed as her mom argues about the situation at work. I mean if she walked away it would be okay but if she had allowed them to treat her the way they would she would still argue In the future with more anger building up. She groaned as her mom continued to speak on the topic, like typical mothers. Ava decided to work on her artistic side for some hours and, I'm telling you the piece was astonishing. (notification) her phone vibrates and lit up. She was too caught up in her little world of art so she won't pay attention to her phone. A couple of hours, later she was finished, with her masterpiece. Her hands were messy from paints, even her face. If you're an artist, you would understand. She got into the shower and took a nice warm bath. After that, she was dressed, in a mid-thigh royal blue dress. She checked her phone and saw a message from an unknown number. She opens it, and it read 'can we meet at the diner in town for a lil chat' she was wondering who the hell it was but in the corner of her eye. She saw a piece of paper on her nightstand; she looked at it and realized it was the guy from the other day. For some reason, she instantly replied and answered what time. Then she looked at how long he had texted her. He said '6,' it was almost 5. Thanks to God, she already showered and got dressed. She called a cab and went to the diner

5:48 pm

She arrived at 5:48, she went inside and took a seat at the far corner. She looked around for Benjamin for some time, but he was nowhere. A couple of minutes later, the sound of someone entering the diner caught her ears. She looked up and saw him walking towards her.

"Hey.........um hello, " he said nervously. Why though

"Hey. How are you?" Ava said trying to start a simple conversation

"I am.......great actually....um you must be wondering why I asked you to meet me here."

"Yeah. So what's the cause."

"I don't have a specific reason just wanted to talk to you." Now ava has it in her mind that he likes her, but she had second thoughts. He is damn well too good looking or be single. Maybe that's the reason why he looks at her with less interest.

"Um okay, I guess. Sooooooo what you want to talk about?"

"Anything you wish to."

"What's your full name other than me cohen?" He was hesitant at first even though it's just a name he doesn't like to open up.

"-----------my name is umm..........Benji...Benjamin.

"I am just ava. Um, where are you from?"

"Actually from New Orleans but I moved here because of job opportunities."

"Wow, that's great." Then there is the awkward silence. ( clears throat)

"Why do you work at that cafe? I mean it's okay, but they don't seem to like you."

"I got fired a day ago because I had to fight them. The duck face bitch calls me a prostitute because I spoke to you."

"That wasn't necessary. "

"Yeah, i know. It's getting late. I bet your wife is waiting for you to come home by now." She said, trying to get information. Lol silly girl

"Wait, what! (Starts to laugh) nooooo. I don't have a wife or girlfriend. Nobody wants me." Now, this guy thinks she is just going to fall for that right away. He is too good looking.

"Oh really now, " she decided not to continue with that conversation for who knows if he is lying.

"Look relationships never work out for me. They always leave me for someone greater than me or better than me at something. My last relationship had me at a therapist, " he laughed.

"How did you end up there?"

"I did love that girl I gave her anything her heart desires even if it was my last. I found out that she was cheating on me with my best friend. I caught them one night when I had an art exhibit, and she didn't show up. I went home and saw both of them in my bed. I got so angry I almost killed her. They said I had anger issues need therapy."

"That's just messed up. I guess she doesn't know what being treated good is. The funny thing ladies that are in abusive relationships wished to have what she had."

"Tell me about it," he laughed.

For the rest of the evening, they talked, and Benjamin is telling her somethings. But not his life story, which is a good start so far.
