"Steps/ Broken Glass"
(1838 | 110119)I danced wildly to my own beat
Ignoring the music that played
Inside my head I was inside the stage once more
I was under the sea of million eyesI ignored the sharp pain
The trickling liquid
The pool that had formed beneath my feet
As I twirled and leapedI dropped to the floor exhausted
Out of sadness
The memory has to end
Like every chapter in a storyI felt the glass in my arms
Digging itself under my feet
But that pain has been long numb
I lay beneath my own poolThe cuts I receive are just reminders to me
My stage is over
And my exhaustion to everything was only tolling on me now
It was only another day to surviveI walk away from my reflection
Leaving my trail once again
Waiting to see if they'd actually find me the next day
I threw the ballet shoes across the messed up room"Till we meet again..."
