“Unpaved”
(1246 | 070420)

And for long the paths have broken;
Cruel storms left her awoken.
Thorns dig deep beneath her sole,
Not knowing where to search for her soul.

Silent images scream,
Oh how she wishes it was all a dream.
But lost on an unpaved road;
Flowerless field with secrets to hold.

So are the crevices of their skin,
Like her very own hidden within.
Cracks left to only crawl,
Unpatched pieces continue to fall.

Ahead a light of which no end,
Towards a place to make amends.
And all that lies are lies,
She sees the smoke and fire both arise.
