“A Thousand Rainbows”
(1317 | 071620)I sat by the window in a cramped and old car,
Covered in dirt, somewhat lost in its own time.
We drove towards the outer layers of the city,
Into an open space and endless roads.I watched other cars pass by,
Or green pastures turn brown.
And as if the road had been cut,
We stop by a seemingly different world, watching waterfalls from a balcony beside the road.
The fresh air that I once had,
Kicked out of me as I sat by the window seat once more.
I held my breath tightly,
The scent of leather heating up inside and just the overwhelming heat in general- made me dizzy. The windows sent down and cool breeze welcomes a wondrous sight,
I take a deep breath and let the air seep through my skin.
I watch the roads as we pass an island, sitting alone in the middle by itself- surrounded by something like a moat.
It was an odd structure, but I watched it as we slowly leave it behind, the colorful arcs that act as its centerpiece.I sat back and play the images of these otherworldly structures that have found places in our world, and I look back, never seeing them again “The Island of A Thousand Rainbows”
