"Woww... The water is so cool", I hear her exclaim as she run on the sand which the water sweeps every minute.

I, however, try to keep an even pace behind her, holding her shoes and mine.

"Ahh... Look here", she called out for me as she found a shell. "This is so pretty", she said, with her eyes sparkling in amaze.

"Ughh... What in these things does make you feel happy? It is so common", I grimaced at her. She, however kept shooting sparkling eyes at the amaze of the sea.

"Oye... You don't want to build sand castles?", I asked her.

"That's a kid's play. I am not a kid anymore", she airs her mouth and her face looks like a balloon.

"I wonder then how exactly you were behaving a moment ago", I said rubbing my neck.

"Those ice creams, I want one", she said running to the ice cream shop.

"Do you even have money?", I ask behind her, unsure that she heard it as she was too much absorbed in her own world.

It was nearly evening, and the sight of setting sun was drifting closer.

Her eyes sparkled like the stars as she saw the sight. "This is so beautiful", she exclaimed clasping her hands together.

She kept walking on the sand.

"Hey, do you have a girlfriend?", she asked without turning back or facing me. I wonder where is it coming from?

"Nope", I say without wondering anything more. "What about you?", I asked her, not meaning anything.

"Well... Who cares? I recently broke up with my boyfriend. Because... How do I put it? He was very overly cautious and...if he knew that I were to die any moment, he would try to fix my problems...even if there is nothing that can be done. And when everything he can do is over...and nothing works out...he would take the blame upon him. And, I don't want him to spoil his life over this thing...", she said.

Her back was facing towards me.

"In short, you are single now", I declared.

"I said right...who cares? Would you get me a boyfriend?", she asked turning her head towards me while she kept walking.

"Obviously not", I said wearing my footwear and keeping hers down.

"Then...would you like to be my boyfriend?", she asked. As jolly and jovial she sounds, usually...this time, her tone was a bit thick and...serious.

I was quiet. What would I do?

When my mind was blank, her laugh echoed in my mind. "I was joking", she said wiping her tears of laughter while holding her stomach.

"Having a khadoos boyfriend like you is ridiculous", she commented. Ouch, that hurts.

"Then, which kind of boys do you like?", I asked.

"It. Doesn't. Mat-te-r", she said walking ahead. "Because for the rest of my life, I don't intend to fall in love", she continued.

"Isn't love supposed to happen automatically?", I asked.

"That's bookish love. Until and unless you give the power to love solely to your heart and not your brain, you can lead a life of lovelessness", she said.

There was a long silence entertaining between us. Too long. We reached our hotel. We were to catch a train to Manali tomorrow evening.

"Yo", the guy named Shivank, comes in front of us.
