Spencer

After Melody told me what Melissa said to her she sprints to the bathroom and I hear the sound of her vomiting. I'm race after her and pull her hair out of her face and rub her back. She throws up for while until there's nothing left. She cleans up and when she's done she's too weak to walk. So, I scoop her in my arms and lay down with her cuddled up into my chest. I wrap my arms tighter around her and we both fall asleep.

Three hours later

I pick up the phone as it rings. "Hello?" I ask. "Reid it's Hotch. Everyone is here for breakfast where are you and Melody?" Hotch says. "Melody got sick last night so I stayed up taking care of her." I reply. "Okay. I hate to say this but we really need you today. I'll send Garcia up to take care of her."He replies. "Okay, I'll be down in a minute." We hang up and I look down at my sweet Melody. Her copper hair splayed out all over her pillow and her face. Her mouth slightly parted. She looks so cute. "Melody? Wake up Sweety." I coo in her ear. "Hmm, what time is it?" She asks sleepily. "It's six AM." I reply. She shoots up and out of the bed. Rapidly picking us out clothes. She hands me my khakis and grey button up with a black tie and Burgundy vest with my leather shoes. She stops and holds the wall for support. I run and catch her before she hits the floor. "Mel. Take it easy. You're staying in bed and Penelope is going to take care of you." I say carrying her to bed and tucking her in. I then grab the trash can and place it next to the bed. I kiss her forehead and get ready. She did good. Penelope comes in and begins setting up her computers. When she is done she makes me leave to go with the team. I leave the room and slips Melody's tags on and tuck them in my shirt.

After I kick out Boy Wonder I quickly get to work and heat up some broth I brought for Melody. While that's heating I quickly get my systems set up and ready to go. Once the broth is ready I help Mel up and give it to her. She starts slowly eating. "Thank you Penny. This is very good." she says gratefully. "Oh sugar it was compliments of the hotel chef. It's amazing what the words sick agent and an FBI badge will do." I say cheekily. She finishes the broth and falls asleep. I click the phone when it rings. "Penny G. Speak and be heard." I greet. "Hey baby girl. I need you to look up Matthew Mason." My chocolate thunder says and I type furiously. "Ooh. You're gonna love this. Matt is a big trouble maker. In an out of a juvenile detention center in his teens for burglary and several sexual harassment charges. Oh my..." I fade out. "What is it?" He asks worriedly. "My baby!! Oh, one of his victims was my Sweet baby Melody! He raped and left her for dead when she was 18. Around the time she joined the Air Force." I say tears streaming down my face. I look over at Mel. She's sleeping soundly. "Thank you Beautiful. If you can ask her all you can about this guy and get back to me." He says. "O-okay. Chocolate." I say through my tears. "Hey Baby don't cry. I'm sure there's a reason she didn't tell us." he consoles. We say goodbye and I do some more digging. "Penny?" I hear Mel ask. "Yes sugar plum?" I reply. She weakly crawls out of bed and sit in a chair next to me. "I guess I need to tell you about Matthew." I nod for her to continue and record her to send to Derek. "Ready to record?" She asks. I nod and press go. "It all started when I turned 18. I had been to several Military bases to see which field I wanted to go into. That's when I met Matt. He was very kind and soon we started dating. At first it was great. He was a total gentleman. Then he got introduced to alcohol. He was a very angry drunk. One night he came home and wanted sex. I said no. He wasn't happy. He forced himself onto me and stole my innocence. Then he dragged my body outside and stabbed me in the stomach and left me for dead. I would have died but there was this tall man with dark hair. He saved me. I latter learned his name. Aaron Hotchner. Since then I kept in touch with him. We became very good friends. He helped me through it all. He even let me baby sit Jack when he'd go out on cases. Then I got deployed for my first tour. I would have been in two tours before Aaron called me and asked to help on a case. After all those years I thought I could live a normal life. But no. Also something you will probably want to know about Matt. He is ruthless and will probably end up killing himself by police shoot out. He won't go down without a fight." I say as tears slowly come down my face. Penny hands me a tissue and I take it gratefully. She sends the recordings to Derek. "You hear that Spencer?" She asks. I hadn't realized he had called. "Yeah. Mel how come you never said anything?" He asks. "I'm so sorry Spencer. I just wanted to forget and be happy. With the team. With you." I say sobbing. Penny pulls me close and I cry into her shoulder. She rubs my back. "Shh. It's okay sweet girl. Just let it out." She says soothingly. "Stay strong my beautiful soldier. We'll be together again soon." Spencer says. They hang up and the phone rings again and she answers it. "The Mystical Penny G and L.C. Mel Hunt. Speak and be heard." She greets. "Hey Garcia. It's Hotch. Morgan played the recording for us. How's Melody?" Aaron asks concerned. "I'm doing okay. It's still hard to recall all of this. Even after all these years." I say smiling sadly. "Stay strong for us Melody. You are a strong, brave independent woman and he can not break you." He encourages. "Thank you Aaron. I needed that." I reply smiling. He hangs up. Penelope is typing rapidly trying to find all she can about Matthew. "How are you feeling?" She asks. "Mentally or physically?" I ask her. "Both" she replies. "Mentally a bit frazzled. Physically I'm feeling better. A bit hungry actually." I say as my stomach starts growling. "Go look in the fridge. Along with the broth the chef also made you a sandwich." She says smiling. I go to the fridge and there is a huge and really yummy looking sandwich. I grab it and two glasses and the Apple juice. "Okay. This sandwich is massive. You are sharing this with me." I say giggling and poring us some juice in champagne glasses. "Why thank you kind lady." she says taking a bite of her sandwich half. "Mmm so good!" We say in unison and busting out laughing. Once lunch is done she finds the rest of the info she needs and calls Derek. "Hey, You gorgeous chocolate man we are ready to give you this info." I hear Derek laugh on the other end. "Okay baby girl. You two are in speaker, behave ladies." He says teasingly. "Or what?" We ask in unison. There's laughter on the end. Penny and I give them the info and my phone begins ringing. "Hello?" I ask. "234 Sandybrooke drive." the line goes dead. "Who was it?" Penny asks. "I don't know. But can you look up and address for me? 234 Sandybrooke drive." She types it in. "Well, thank you mystery caller. That's Matthew's house!" She says calling Hotch. Once she tells him they leave to go to the house.

Twenty minutes later

"Please tell me this is all over." Penny pleads. "Yeah baby girl. It's all over." Derek says. I sigh in relief. Once they get back to the hotel Penny and I meet them in the lobby. I run up and hug Spencer tightly. He hugs me back. "Your tags are lucky." He whispers in my ear. "How so?" I ask. "Well, Matthew had another girl with him. He almost killed her. I talked him into putting his weapon down." Spencer says smiling. I kiss his cheek.

We stay a couple more days in Louisiana for a well deserved break. Also I was not in any shape to fly a plane and we couldn't find a sub. Right now we are all out to eat at this cute little French restaurant and I'm translating the menu for everyone.

After dinner we go back to the hotel and I plop down on the bed. Spencer crawls in and pulls me close.

The next day I'm all good to fly. "Melody are you positive you are okay to fly?" Aaron asks worriedly while him and I get the plane. "Of course. If I did not feel well enough to fly this plane I would not be flying it today." I say going into the cockpit. I pull the plane out and the team gets on. The doors close and we take off. I hear movement in the back and lots of yelling. "Don't try to lie Williams. She told me everything." I hear Spencer say angrily. "Melissa, how dare you threaten the life of another agent!" Hotch roars. It's silent for awhile then there's knocking on the door. "Who requests to enter?" I ask. "David Rossi." Dave says. "Enter the Hobbit hole." I giggle out. Dave comes in and takes a seat. "Hey. There's a lot of yelling back there and I wanted some quiet." He says. "I don't blame you. I turned off the speaker that lets me hear them. So, now it's nice and peaceful." I smile. We fall into easy conversation and there's another knock at the door. "Enter the cave of wonders." I call out. The door opens to reveal Hotch and a very upset Melissa. "Melissa is there something you'd like to say?" Hotch asks her. "I'm sorry I threatened your life." She mumbles half heartedly. "I'm not going to say it's okay. Because your behavior was not okay. However, I do forgive you." I say and Hotch and Melissa leave. "Dang, I wonder how they got her to apologize?" I wonder out loud. "Threatening. Lots of threatening. They also profiled her. Those tears indicate they told her stuff she didn't want to hear." Dave concludes. "That makes sense. I just hope she straightens out." I admit. "Don't we all." Dave says. We talk for a while longer until Hotch comes and gets him. I'm alone for the rest of the flight. Once I land the plane we all get off and go home. Spencer comes with me and we share my bed.
