I am currently reading a letter Melody sent saying that by the time I got this she would be on the plane home. She's been gone about a year and a half. We all miss her dearly. Especially Spencer. Mel says the plane will land Friday at noon which is today. In twenty minutes. I rush out to tell the team. "Guys! I have the greatest news!" I say excitedly. "What is it baby girl?" Derek asks. "Well, chocolate thunder and crime fighters.." I pause for effect... "Melody is coming home!! Her place will land in twenty minutes!!" I squeal out. Everyone's faces light up and we go meet Mel.

Spencer

Melody is coming home!! I can't wait to hold her in my arms. We are currently driving to the base where the plane will land. We get to the landing site and the plane is here. A bunch of people are here to greet their soldiers. They come off the plane. People scream and cry and hug their loved ones tightly. "Melody!" JJ screams running over to her. I look up and see her. She's so beautiful. Even in her camo. JJ tackles her in a hug. They let go and she's passed from person to person as they giver her big hugs. She sees me and runs up to me. She hugs me really tightly and I hug her just as tight. We pull away and I get a burst of courage and smash my lips on to hers. She tangles her fingers in my hair and I take down her bun letting her hair fall down her back. Flashes and clicks are going off and we pull away to see the team taking pictures. "I really missed you." I whisper in her ear my arms still around her waist. "I missed you too." she whispers back. We look each other in the eyes and lean in for a slow, soft kiss. Flashes go off. Mel smiles against my lips. She lays her head on my chest and I stroke her hair. "So, what are we?" She asks out if nowhere. "Hmm. Good question." I reply. She looks up at me. I guess it's a good a time as any. I take her hands in mine. "Melody. This year and a half with out you has been so lonely. I missed you everyday and it feels so right to hold you, to kiss you. It's so natural. Would you like to be my girlfriend?" She thinks about it. "No." Wait. what? "I'd love to!!" She squeals smashing her lips onto mine. My heart swells with joy. The team is clapping and cheering. We all leave the base and walk to the parking lot. "My car is over there." Mel says. I go with her and help her load her stuff in the trunk. "Keys?" I ask smiling. She rolls her eyes playfully and hands them over. We get in and drive to the restaurant to meet everyone. I notice she's really quiet. When I look over I see she's fast asleep. "Mel. Mel sweetie. We're here at the restaurant" I say waking her. She wakes up and we go in. We all take our seats and order our food. All in all its been a great day.
