The cold water running over my skin did little to cool the heat I felt lingering deep within me. All I wanted was to stand beneath the showerhead and let it wash over me for hours in hopes that it would tamp down this overwhelming surge of desire that had been plaguing me recently. I had spent most of the day training with Mason and the others in the backyard. After we finished, I was drenched in sweat and it wasn't from the workout. So, here I was daydreaming, trying to distract myself from my urges as I washed up.

These last few days at the pack house had been nothing short of wonderful. I was still new to the whole idea of being part of a pack, but I was loving it more every day. I thought that I'd have difficulties getting used to being around so many others at one time, but I didn't. Each of them had their own unique personalities and it made getting to know them all the more interesting.

Vilkas was the sweet one and was so easy to talk to. He had a tender nature about himself and was always so forthcoming with how he was feeling. He had taken the time to show me what his responsibilities were within the pack. Explaining all the different inner networkings and how the finances worked. He even explained what made the pack money, but I got a little lost once he started throwing in words like fiscal year, external capital, and accruals. I still listened to what he told me though and I hoped that one day I'd be able to understand it all a little better.

He and I hung out in his office for a while after his educational session with me. His office was cozy and told me a lot about his interests. We ended up bonding over our love for fantasy-based books and movies. We stayed up late debating war strategies between two major houses from a book one night. until I passed out and Mason had to come to get me.

Farkas was the loud and rowdy one. He'd taken me under his wing and started teaching me various fighting techniques. He's the one I trained with most during the day. Despite his large build, he was a lot faster than I thought he'd be. Our size difference made training a little difficult at first, but with a few adjustments, we were able to spar without any issue.

He helped me identify the weak points of someone who was several times bigger than I was. Information that could prove to be handy for me in the future. Most wolves towered over me, so it was nice to know that I stood a chance of protecting myself I needed to.

One day after we finished sparing with one another, I threw myself on the ground to try and cool my body down. He joined me without hesitation and the two of us talked for what felt like hours.  It was below freezing outside, but neither of us seemed to notice. It was during that time that I learned he was quite a lot smarter than he let on. He was boisterous and ornery, but most importantly, he was genuine. His kind heart was what I loved most about him. He even taught me how to do a cute messy bun the same way he does.

Channing was the easy-going one. He didn't get too worked up over things. He loved to joke though. On the outside, he appeared displeased by everything around him, but his smile told me otherwise. I'd started poking his dimples when he grinned and it only made him smile even more. The two of us spent a lot of time dancing in the kitchen together while we made lunch. It had become our ritual every day. I'd learned a lot of moves from him and he taught me to loosen up a little while I moved.
