Alex stared at Aaron for only a split second and shuffled to his feet. He noticed a girl by his side a few feet away...'Kaylee I think' Alex thought but then shifted his focus back to Aaron. Alex and Aaron were brothers...yet from different districts. They had a weird family life, but Aaron had disliked Alex for a while.

Kaylee was one of Alex's friends and promised Alex to help Aaron, with the help of some scientists in her district. She made sure to always look out for Aaron, as it was a promise she made to Alex. By this point, Samheed woke up, and sprawled up. Samheed glanced at Kaylee, and she did a little wave.

"You do realize, one of us isn't going to see each other again?" Aaron says, reaching into his vest. "I can make this quick,"
Samheed and Kaylee watched, unsure when to jump in.  Samheed gives her a look almost like "Is Aaron going to hurt him?". Kaylee hesitated, and shrugged.

"Or you can just leave me alone." Alex replies. Aaron ignored Alex's request and pulled out a scatter clip. Alex watched this, but did not react or pull out a weapon.

"Die a thousand Deaths! Alex." Aaron yells, spooking Alex. Aaron aimed the clip at Alex, and threw it, hitting Alex square in the chest. Kaylee, surprised, started running toward Aaron, who was pulling out a dagger.

"Enough! Aaron!" Kaylee exclaimed holding back Aaron's arms. "Lets go, just-- Lets go." Aaron struggled against her, but eventually she was able to drag him away. Samheed saw this, and immediately ran to Alex, laying on the ground now. Distressed, Samheed pulled out the clip as fast as he could. Alex only let out a small scream.

"Why didn't you attack Aaron when you had the chance!" Samheed said mad. He began applying pressure to reduce the bleeding and then started applying leftover gauze.

"He's my brother. I wouldn't attack him," Alex said in breaths.

"You dolt! This is the hunger games! There is only one winner."

"I didn't want to be the one killing him Sam..."Alex said. Samheed let out a frustrated sigh and continued applying the gauze. "But your right...there is only one winner.......why don't you just kill me now..?"
Samheed shook his head and ignored Alex's question. "Sam...?"

"Stop Asking Stupid Questions Stowe," he muttered. "Just Rest. I'll...be back."Samheed said, and wrapped the last of the gauze. Alex leaned against the horn and watched as Samheed left.

"What was that for Aaron?!" Kaylee said, shoving him as soon as they entered the forest. He raised his hands in surrender, but his face held another expression.

"Well why not?! He was going to die anyway."

"Did all that time with the Scientists mean nothing? Alex didn't even raise a weapon at you!"

"That's because he's weak Kaylee! He's too forgiving to do anything else."

Kaylee let out a frustrated sigh, and rolled her eyes. "Why do I bother with you...". Aaron looked up, but acted as if he hadn't heard.

"Uhm, why are you staring at me?" Kaylee said. Aaron grabbed her shoulders and twirled her around.

"Not you, behind you." It was a huge field of berry bushes, and apple trees behind Kaylee, and it suprised her how she didn't notice it on her way in. "Lets go collect," Kaylee didn't argue and both walked into the field.

"Lets separate, and meet back where we first were in..."Kaylee pointed to the tip of the waterfall, where the sun hung close, usually setting around there. "When the sun reaches the peak of the waterfall...basically when the sun starts setting," Aaron nodded and they split.

Kaylee went row by row picking up the berries inspecting them first, and then pouring them into her extra flask. She took a turn and kneeled down to pick the berries in from a new bush, but the sole of her shoe felt weird...almost as if she was stepping on something. She looked down and saw a dead body engraved into the soil. His face looked horrible and swollen, and in his hands were the exact berries in this field.

Kaylee tried not to scream but her eyes widened. She looked at the dead body trying to figure who it was. "Cole Wickett..." she says. She dumps out the berries from the flask and sighed in relief...'Good, if I didn't see him, I would've unknowingly died."—and then it hit her.

Quickly she got up from her kneeled position and started looking around. "Aaron!" Kaylee yelled, frantically running throughout the acres. "Aaron! The berries are Poison!"
