'It's just us' Sky thought. She was always hesitant about killing, and people would always notice her before she strikes. "I can make this really quick." she said.

Alex gives her a look, not scared or worried. "Then do it," Sky was slightly shaken by that answer, but prepared her dagger. "Just know there is no victory," Alex adds.

Her head perked up. "No victory? Of course there's victory Alex."

"Not for you. Your just....We all were just....surviving." Sky, relaxed her dagger, and continued listening. "Eagala is just getting entertainment out of this. No one here is winning. It's always her."

"Well I don't care. It's not like the games are never ending----"

"Exactly. They won't end. Even after winning, you're just stuck now suffering from PTSD or just a mentor for a while, or just stuck in fame. There is no winning Sky."

"Now you're just talking me out of not killing you. " Sky replied agitated. The sky began glowing in the usual pinkish orange as the sun set. Alex watched the sun set, instead of replying to Sky. She tapped his shoulder awaiting a response, but nothing.   Sky tapped again, but Alex grabbed her hand. She looked up at Alex surprised. Alex tilted Sky's body, and just mouthed 'watch'.

Sky looked at the sun set, despite how prosthetic it was, it felt so real. Now both just watched the sunset, cooling off Sky. "One of us has to die..." Sky falters. Alex placed a finger to her lips.

"We can think about that later. Just enjoy the moment." Alex said. She nodded,  and both watched the sunset, as the sky filled with colors and soon enough grew back to the dark blue. Both of them watched the fallen tributes, Aaron, Kaylee, Samheed, and this only made the realization hit her even more.

"Okay..I'm ready. You can kill me." Alex said, turning to Sky. "I could never live with myself if I lived." Alex said. Only then did Sky realize Alex's words. These games would never end, and she would never be victorious. The only victory is if the games ended.. and she could never do that. Alex on the other hand, seemed more smarter, kinder, stronger than her. She took a deep sigh, and whispered to Alex.

"No Alex. Live, and then take down Eagala," Sky smiled.  She grabbed her dagger, and pierced herself. Alex gasped, having no time to react. Sky winced in pain, and lost balance. She tipped off the branch, and plummeted to the ground. Alex couldn't bear to look at her, but the cannon justified it. Sky was dead.

The announcement blares stating Alex's victory, and he was soon taken out of the arena. Alex, however, was still stunned.       "Don't worry Sky, I will." he whispered. This was the end to the hunger games.

(dang this was a sucky ending. Sorry guys, I'm not the best at ending books...but I'm going to end it in a cliffhanger as such. I hope you enjoyed reading it however!)
