at first, all you felt was shock as dowoon dragged you away, his grip still tight on your arm. your mind replayed the scene over and over, trying to rationalize it, to make it make sense somehow. why did jaehyung hurt sungjin? how badly was sungjin injured? why were they worried about your safety, even though you weren't the one who had gotten hurt?

then, as you processed it for what felt like the hundredth time, you were awash with a new emotion: unbridled rage.

jaehyung had ruined it. he ruined your perfect day in a matter of minutes. he had hurt your friend in the middle of your favorite class and now, because of him, you could no long stargaze with your best friend at your side. because of him, sungjin would most likely be in the hospital wing suffering from his injuries instead of enjoying his first week back of hogwarts with his friend.

the more you thought, the angrier you became. sungjin might miss the first quidditch game of the season because of jaehyung. he would be devastated; quidditch was something that he was extremely passionate about. he had often times told you about how he couldn't wait to go back to hogwarts for the sole purpose of playing quidditch again.

you could take it. you had to go back up there and get some answers.

"dowoon, let me go," you muttered, trying to yank your arm from his grasp.

"i can't. i have to keep you safe," he replied, unaware of the boiling rage that you felt.

"i said, let me go," you yelled, now trying harder to free your arm. dowoon only tugged his wand from his pocket and muttered a spell. you felt your wrists being bound together, causing you to gape at him.

"i'm sorry, but it's for your own good," he said apologetically, sending a glance at you through the corner of his eye.

"but i have to find out what the hell happened up there! you can't expect me to just sit around while my best friend is hurt," you argued, tugging at the binds on your wrist.

dowoon didn't answer, continuing to lead you away silently. this only made you angrier.

"dowoon, please!" you pleaded, not caring about the people that were glancing at you with confusion. "tell me where you're taking me at least."

"back to hufflepuff. the others will meet us there," he explained, leading you past the kitchens where you could imagine the house elves were still furiously trying to clean the plates from dinner.

"but isn't their safety in jeopardy too? why am i the only one being treated like i'm a first year that can't take care of themself?" you said exasperatedly as dowoon tapped the barrels at the end of the kitchen corridor, revealing the hufflepuff common room.

"we'll explain everything later. but for now, i have to keep you safe," he said softly. you could hear the pain in his voice, telling you that this was as hard for him as it was for you. this calmed you down and you allowed him to remove the bonds without another word.

it hadn't been your first time being in the hufflepuff common rooms but every time you walked in, you couldn't help but admire how cozy it seemed. a few lanterns that were floating near the ceiling casted a warm, soft glow into the room that made you feel at peace. along the walls were many different plants, all potted in gold and black vases and pots. a few students were tending to a few of the plants as they talked quietly.

everything about the hufflepuff common room was peaceful. you felt the anger slowly draining from your body as dowoon walked you over to a set of bean bag chairs next to a bookcase.

"i know you're probably still upset with me," dowoon started, taking a seat with a sigh. "but hopefully being here will make up for it."
