Ever since Molly Weasley gave birth to her twin boys on April 1st, 1978, they had been joined at the hip. You wouldn't see one without the other. They sat next to each other at dinner, played all the same games, including the same position in Quidditch.

You would say Fred and George because they were always together. They got in trouble together, attended detention together, and schemed together. Needless to say, Molly had her hands full with the twins.

Having seven kids proved to be a difficult task. Bill ran away from the scissors that were supposed to cut his hair. Charlie daydreamed about owning dragons. Percy tried to instill order to the household. Fat chance. Ron feuded with the garden gnomes, many times getting bit. Ginny brought bugs that belonged outside in the house claiming them as her pets. Fred and George were running around causing chaos everywhere they went.

She scolded Fred and George as a unit. When they were young, she bathed them as a unit. She taught them how to read and write together. Their first steps were taken while the two infants were holding hands. Everything they did, they did together. Always together.

The first notable time they weren't together was when they were taking on Harry's identity. Fred and George didn't like it when they were separate, but it was for Harry. The boy they considered to be their little brother. So they willingly separated for a few hours. This proved to be dangerous as George lost an ear.

...

As George wept over his brother in the Great Hall he remembered the last words they had said to each other before they were separated. "We'll always be together." George couldn't help but wonder what would've happened if he refused to leave Fred's side. Maybe they really would be together right now. He might not be weeping over his brother's body.

Even though he wasn't there with him right now George realized that Fred would always be there in spirit. It didn't heal the wound in his heart, that would never leave fully, but it meant they hadn't really left each other's side.

It takes more than death to separate the Weasley twins because they are always together.

Author's Note:
Not going to lie, this chapter hurt to write. I love the Weasley twins and I hate their sad ending. This one-shot is even shorter than the last one... Sending love your way.
