My eyes drink her in. Her green eyes look anywhere but me. Her hair is pin straight and she's playing with her fingers. She's pregnant.
"Really?" I ask, hope in my voice.
"Yeah, I took a test two days ago."
"I'm going to be a dad?"
"Yeah," she confirms. Without thinking, I pull her into me. Her lips are soft and I never want to let her go. When I pull away, I rest my head against hers. "You're not mad?"
"I would never be mad," I assure, kissing her quickly.
"I was so scared you'd want to leave me," she breathes. A stray tear slips down her cheek. Smiling softly, I wipe it away as the Ferris wheel comes to a stop. A man helps us off and I text Sam.
"I love you too much to leave you," I assure. I pull her into me and kiss her head. "Are you going to tell everyone else?"
"Eventually. I'm not sure when though."
"That's fine," I confirm. "Take your time."
"I love you so much," she cries.
"Don't cry, honey," I smile, wiping under her eyes.
"I just have never felt so much love from one person and you just came into my life and gave me everything I needed."
"I love you, Elle. There's no changing that. You've helped me in so many ways possible."
"I love you so much," she gushes. "I'm so happy that I have you."
"I am too," I chuckle, kissing her head. "We should go meet up with everyone."
"Okay," she nods. I take her hand and we walk to one of the booths we said we'd meet at. When we get there, Kat and Devyn are taking pictures. They gesture for Elle to join them. Happily, she does. They all smile widely. When they finish, we walk out and back to the car. I toss my keys to Jake and slip into the back with Elle. She lays her head on my shoulder as I buckle up.
