It's been 2 weeks since Damian started his search for one of closest friends. He has been leaving at night, to no one in the family's knowledge. This would always worry Jon as he would try to desperately try to find Damian. He would finally appear a few hours after he left. This would constantly worry Jon. They would sometimes argue, but Damian shrugged him off, saying "don't worry, beloved. I'll be back soon." whenever he has to go out. Jon would also want to go with Damian on his quest, but he always refuses to let anyone help him. He barely rested, slept or even ate. He was fully determined in finding his friend, but his body... could not take it. His efficiency was affected, he became slower, weaker as the days rolled on. He lost weight, but all of that did not stop him from trying to do his mission.

The Batcave

Damian was in the batcave, Desperately looking for any signs, clues. He wouldn't give up. He typed into the batcomputer, possible clues and associations with the word 'orphanage'. He's searched so far the entirety of Star City. And now, he's got a one last 'potential' lead in Coast city. Damian quickly changed into his Robin outfit and gathered his gear. Dick walked in to see his baby brother, who already looked exhausted, but also weak and desperate for answers.

"Woah, Woah, Damian." Dick approached him. "You should really get some rest..."

"Rest can wait, Richard." Damian replied coldly, eyes contacting Dick's for only a nano second before walking away.

"Rest cannot wait Damian." Dick said placing his hand on his shoulder, stopping him. "Think about what's happening to you... you've lost weight, you haven't eaten properly over the past 2 weeks, let alone resting."

"I said. Rest can wait." Damian replied smacking Dick's hand away.

"Jon's crying upstairs right now." Dick said as he turned around. "Think about how he feels..."

"He doesn't understand. None of you do. I have to do this." Damian replied coldly.

"Jon feels alone right now..."

"Don't even... try, Richard." Damian growled. "I will apologize to Jon accordingly, after this. He'll be fine..."

"Damian!" Dick turned around, mad at him. "He's your boyfriend. You should let him know. Let him help!"

"This is my burden to bear, Richard." Damian's voice shook as he took another step, walking away. "I'm sparing him of it..."

"Damian..." Dick looked defeated, pain in his voice for his little brother. Damian walked away, leaving Dick alone in the cave. Damian had set the Batwing to auto pilot as he also knew that he would be too weak to fly. The Batwing flew towards its destination. Damian started thinking about what Dick told him in the cave. He thought about what Jon would feel, it destroyed him. I'm sorry beloved... he thought, I just have to do this...  Jon... Jon was being affected, heavily. He would silently cry himself to sleep on Damian's bed whenever he was gone. He just wouldn't listen to him, Damian was closed off. He desperately tried to talk to Damian, but he was always too busy. Often, Dick would discover Jon in bed crying to himself. Tonight was no different, as Dick went inside Damian's room to discover the crying mess that was Jon.

"Jon?" Dick opened the door. Jon desperately tried to pretend to sleep, but his muffled sobs told Dick enough. "Hey...." He approached Jon and crouched at the bedside. Jon had covered himself with the blankets, in hopes of not being discovered. Dick uncovered the blanket to see Jon, crying his heart out.

"He-hey... Dick..." He let out a whimper. Dick immediately grabbed and hugged Jon. Jon cried on Dick's shoulder as tears overwhelmed him.

"Hey... he's going to be fine..." Dick tried to calm him down. "You know him... he's indestructible." he smiled. Jon didn't smile back, he just grew increasingly worried.
