An hour went by after the battle, when Jack opened his eyes. His vision was blurry but he could see that his mask was ruined as sparks flew off from it. He quickly took it off. He groaned in pain as he stood up. Still dizzy, he looked around. He saw Damian, motionless on his back. Jack took careful footsteps towards him, avoiding losing balance. He knelt by Damian's side.

"Damian." Jack shook him in efforts of waking him. "Damian!" he started to shake him more. Eventually Damian opened his eyes, he coughed and gasped as he regained consciousness. "There you go Bud... I've got you." Jack said as he helped Damian sit up.

"Jo-Jon..." Damian panted out. Jack's eyes widened as he remembered.

"I couldn't stop them..." Jack sadly replied. "They took him..."

"No..." Damian said as he tried to stand, but his body was in pain. He grunted in pain as his body forced him to stay down. "Have... to... get him."

"Dami..." Jack said softly. "We will... We will... okay?" he said. Damian nodded as he finally rested. Jack stood up and searched around for clues. But he found none. he tried to scan the room but his Mask was busted and had to do it with his own eyes. He looked to where Jon had crashed through to the outside of the building, he saw a ripped red cloth fly towards him. The cloth landed to just between his feet, he bent down and picked it up and immediately recognized the material. It was the same material he used to make Jon his newer suit. He clutched the remains of what looked like Jon's cape and made his way to Damian, who was still recovering.

"Find anything?" Damian asked him. Jack slowly handed him the red cloth from Jon's cape. Damian's eyes shot open as he held it in his hand. He covered his face with the red cloth, and started to sob quietly so Jack wouldn't noticed, but he did. Jack knelt to Damian and hugged him. "I-it's my fault..." Damian sobbed out.

"No..." Jack said as he rubbed his back. "No, it's not."

"I need to find him." Damian replied, wiping his tears with the cloth.

"We will..." Jack said as he opened a boom tube. "We have to get back... Come on." He said as he helped Damian stand. Both of them walked into the boom tube, Damian holding the piece of cloth tight on his hand.

The Batcave.

Both boys arrived in the bat cave. Jack walked in, followed by Damian. Damian emerged to see Clark standing by the computer.

"Oh, hey boys." Clark greeted them both. He then noticed the blood that dripped from both Jack and Damian's heads from the battle. "Oh, my god what happened?" He ran to Damian. "Damian? Where's Jon?" he asked. Damian lowered his head as Jack stood beside him.

"I-I..." Damian stammered through his words, trying desperately to hold back the pain. He slowly showed Clark the red cloth. "I'm so sorry..."

"Wha-what happened?" Clark asked.

"They... took him." Jack replied. "Luthor."

"I should've done better." Damian said. "I'm sorry Mr.Kent." His voice broke.

"Hey..." Clark said softly as he placed his hand on Damian's shoulder. "It's not your fault son... It's Luthor's. We're going to-" Clark got interrupted by Batman calling in his earpiece. Bad timing Bruce... Clark thought as he hovered. "Damian. You will get him back." He reassured him. "I have to go. Don't lose hope. I'll help with the search in anyway I can." He said. Damian simply nodded, his head still lowered. Clark flew away leaving Jack and Damian alone.

"Bud..." Jack said softly as he placed his hand on Damian's shoulder. "Come... I'll patch you up." he said. Damian nodded as he followed him to the medical bay. The search for Jon would start. Neither boys stopped for anything to find him.
