It's been 5 days since the end of the battle, the skies were peaceful at last as most of the villains ended up in prison. Patrol for both Damian and Jon was quiet, barely any crime at all. Mostly it was low life scum muggers that loomed the alleys of Gotham. Jon hasn't been the same since the battle. He's been... quite distant from Damian. He's been silent during patrol. Damian usually shrugged it off thinking that Jon might have been bored. But since that night, he's insisted that he sleep in Metropolis for a while, to "Catch more family time" Jon said. It was a typical night just a day before new year's eve. The Gotham skies were fairly quiet, snow fell from the skies covering the buildings for the first time. Usually the snow was melted by the constant raining in Gotham, this was an exception. Damian and Jon stood on a roof tower looking over the city. Jon was just silent, and Damian was too. Damian had to start a conversation, to find out what was bothering Jon, which is something he wasn't really comfortable in doing, engaging in a conversation.

"Kent." Damian called out.

"Y-yeah Dami?" Jon reluctantly replied.

"Beloved... talk to me." Damian's voice comforted Jon as he blushed. "I know something's bothering you... you can talk to me."

"I know..." Jon replied.

"You've been.... distant lately... You never want to spend a night with me in the manor since... I died..." Damian said.

"It's not that..." Jon looked at Damian, observing his face and body. "I told you... ever since the battle, we haven't had a proper Christmas dinner at home. Everyone forgot about Christmas.... because of the injustice league..."

Damian just stared coldly in the night sky, then looked the city, looking for any crime that might be happening. "If you say so..." He just said, his voice was soft, almost fragile, thinking that Jon might not love him anymore.

The boys continued patrol, gliding and swinging across the city. The city was surprisingly quiet. As they glided across the city, Damian didn't help but notice that families were silently having dinner, laughing and having a good time. One child in a house in particular saw both Robin and Superboy glide across the city, Damian caught his eye on the girl. The girl waved at Robin, Robin smiled at her, a gave her a quick wave back before landing on another roof.

"Looks like the city's quiet tonight Dami." Jon pointed out.

"It sure seems so..." Damian said taking one last glance at the city.

"Well... gotta get back to Metropolis." Jon started to hover. "See you, tomorrow Dami."

"Wait. Jon." Damian stopped him.

"ye-yeah?"

"Can you stay... I mean..." Damian blushed, as if they weren't already a couple. "With me... in the Manor tonight?" Damian held his hand. "I... miss... you..."

"D-Dami..." Jon was hesitant for a second he couldn't resist Damian's face, longing for him. "O-okay... Let me just call my parents." Jon called up his parents to inform them on his plans, to which they gladly gave their permission, for an 18 year old. "Okay... Let's go." Jon reached out and grabbed Damian. He blushed as Jon wrapped his arms around him and flew to the manor.

"TT. K-Kent." Damian blushed. "I told you I hate being carried..." he protested as they flew.

"I'm not sure you get a vote..." Jon, embracing him tightly.

"Mmmmnn... Beloved..." Damian replied, sinking his head onto Jon's chest. He kept staring lovingly into Jon's sapphire eyes on their way to the manor.
