Ryan woke up to his dad shaking him. He swore he just closed his eyes two minutes ago. There was no way it was time for school. And since did his dad come to wake him up?

"Ry, wake up bud." Ryan rolled over onto his stomach and groaned. He weakly swatted his dad's hand away. "Come on." He grabbed his pillow and pulled if over his head.

"Five more minutes," he grumbled into the mattress.

"Brendon's here." Ryan shot up, holding his upper body up with his arms and looked at his dad with wide, alert eyes.

"What!" George couldn't hold back his chuckle.

"He's in the living room. Want me to bring him in?" Ryan tried climbing out of bed and ended up falling to the floor when he got tangled in the sheets.

"No, no, no. I can," he trailed off and finally got to his feet. He smoothed out his bed hair the best his could and threw on some shorts. "I-I got it. Thanks dad." With a final smirk, his dad left. Ryan gave himself a once over in the mirror that hung on the back of his door and went out to the living room.

Brendon was standing in front of a shelf, looking through his dad's CD collection. Ryan couldn't stop his smile when he saw Brendon wearing his letterman jacket. The only thing that could make him look cuter was if he were carrying a puppy. As if on cue, his dog trotted into the room and planted her butt at Brendon's feet.

"Hey Dottie." Brendon's voice light and sweet. As he bent down to pick her up, Brendon finally noticed Ryan watching him. He stood up straight and smiled. "Morning sleeping beauty."

"Morning," Ryan murmured and ran his hair self consciously through his messy hair. "What brings you here this morning?"

Brendon giggled and moved over to his bag he left on the couch. He turned his back to Ryan as he dug through it. When he turned around he held his hands out for Ryan to take the items he pulled out.

"Uh? What's this for?" Ryan eyed Brendon nervously.

"I dare you to wear that today." Ryan's mouth dropped.

"Please tell me you're joke. This is a joke, right?" Brendon shook his head, giggling.

Brendon and Ryan walked into the school together, immediately gaining the attention of everyone they walked by. There were a few whistles sent their way and some people had their phones out to take pictures. Brendon moved to give himself distance from Ryan, but the boy grabbed his hand preventing his escape.

"Nope." Ryan squeezed his hand tightly, unknowingly giving Brendon butterflies. "You're not leaving."

"Hey Ryan." The two turned to Sarah who was almost bent over laughing. Ryan's mouth dropped when the cheerleader pulled a set of pompoms out her locker and handed them to Ryan. "To complete the outfit." Brendon snorted at Ryan's glare. "Glad to see the outfit fits. Believe it or not, it's hard to find a cheer skirt to fit a guy your size."

She continued to laugh as she left Ryan standing in a standard cheer uniform with an old set of large pompoms in one hand and a tight grip of Brendon's hand in the other.

"Ryan!" The boy tensed when he heard his coach's voice. The man looked like he was struggling between laughing at how ridiculous it was to see Ryan in the outfit or being angry to see one of his star players dressed in a skirt.

"I'm showing the cheerleaders some support cause they've been cheering us on all the time." He raised the pompoms and gives them a shake.

"Ryan, you're in a skirt. I'm all for his you like, but you're not supposed to wear skirts on game day." Ryan drops his head.

"Sorry coach. I'll make sure to wear my warm up suit next time." His coach sighed and walks away. "I'm gonna have to run laps next practice," Ryan groaned. Brendon giggled softly.

"A lot more people are noticing you," Brendon stated with a smile. Ryan chuckled and rose their still joined hand and kisses the back of Brendon's hand.

"People are also looking at the boy wearing my jacket." Brendon face immediately burns at that reality. He's ready to shrink into the jacket when the warning bell rang.

"We should get to class." Brendon went to pull his hand free, but Ryan locked their fingers.

"We share most of our classes. You're staying right by my side if I have to wear this outfit."

"So you're just gonna hold my hand the whole day." Ryan nodded with a smile.

"You're not letting go unless it's absolutely necessary."

"Are you threaten me," Brendon joked, trying to be fake being intimidating. Ryan bent over slightly to hover closer to Brendon's face.

"No." The smile widened. "I'm daring you."
