Two months is all she has left. Two months before her baby was born.
Celeste headed into Foosha Village for a regular check-up. Seven-month pregnant Celeste's belly was getting heavier by the week.
"Hello, Jen" Celeste greeted the young nurse as she entered the small medical house.
"Hello, Celeste here for another check-up" Jen smiled while giving her a hug.
"yes can't wait to have this baby out of me," Celeste said.
Jen laughed. "yes all mothers to say the same thing. I will get Dr. Branner here" Jen left to get the doctor.
Celeste didn't have to wait much before Dr. Branner greeted her. He guided her to the check-up room.
"all seem to be going smoothly," Dr. Branner said after looking her over."The baby is healthy."
Celeste nodded. "when the baby comes how would I get in touch with you?"
Dr. Branner grimace. "That what I wanted to talk to you about. It will be better if you stayed in a room here in the village a few weeks before you are due. That way you aren't on your own when the baby comes."
"You have a point"Celeste agreed.
"From I heard Jen has a spare room that I am sure she won't mind you occupying while we wait for the baby to be born."
Celeste looked at him. "really"
Dr. Branner nodded. "you can make the arrangements with Jen outside and let me how it goes."
After talking with Jen about the future plans. Celeste made her way back to her house.
As she road on her cart, she saw an elderly woman lying on the sidewalk. Once she reached the women, Celeste got off her cart and walked towards her.
"Are you okay? do you need anything?" Celeste kneed before the women.
"water" the elderly women crooked.
Celeste quickly got her canteen that she carried on her and gave some water to the women.
"thank you young lady" the elderly woman smiled. "your kindness is very appreciated."
Celeste just nodded as she helped the women up and got her aboard her cart.
"where do you need to go and I can take you there," Celeste said.
'If you don't mind taking me to the Goa Kingdom I have someone who I need to visit."
Celeste nodded.
Celeste and the women rode in silence. It was getting late as the sun was starting to set. Celeste knew that by the time they reach the Goa Kingdom it would be nighttime. And even darker when she reached home. She knew she couldn't just leave the women on her own so she agrees to take the women where she needed to be.
"you must be nervous about becoming a new mother," the women said breaking the silence.
Celeste gave a nervous chuckle. "that's one way of putting it."
"Have you thought of a name for that child?"
Celeste shook her head."I have been thinking but none of the names seem right. I wrote to my husband and he suggested Garp Jr."
The women chuckled."I'm guessing you don't agree."
"Of course not!" Celeste shook her head to confirm her words. "I love my husband but he has trouble choice in names."
"What kind of name do you want"
"well," Celeste looked at the sun slowly descending behind the mountains. "I want my child to have a good and strong name. My parents named me Celeste in hopes that I would become a heavenly person. Be a person was is good and merciful. My parents knew of the world that they were putting me into so they hoped that I wouldn't become like them. But for me, I am unsure of the future that lies ahead. The world isn't a safe palace for any kid growing up."
The women nodded grimly. "your right about that. The world is only getting to get worst. Many lives are only a few steps from ruined. If only they had hope. Someone that they could look up to. Someone who can lead them against those who oppress them.'
Celeste said nothing.
The women turned to Celeste."Who is to say that child you are carrying isn't the hope that the world has been waiting for."
"What!" Celeste stopped her cart. "What makes you say that?"
"I dare say that your parents didn't name you Celeste for no reason. I believe that they want you to be the beginning of something grand. After all, heaven is a palace where miraculous come from to bring hope to people here on the earth. That child that you are carrying might be a child whose fate is tied to the heavens. Where its to destroy or to build again. I have no doubt that your child is meant to grand things."
Celeste said nothing as she began to move her cart once again. "To destroy or build you say. "
Silence filled in between them.
"I am an old woman but I have seen my fair share of evil and goodness in this world. I have seen my share of people too. Enough to have a good sense of character. So listen when I say this that child you are carrying is meant for great things. With you as his mother, I have no doubt he will grow up to have good sense of justice. He will bring hope to many. But alas, where there is hope, evil will follow. Train and prepare the child for his journey ahead."
Celeste stayed quiet. She didn't dare speak.
After ensuring that the elderly women entered the kingdom safety. Celeste began her journey back home.
