Ash looked out her window with her blurry tear-filled eyes to see Conner standing on the grass looking up at her. She opened the window.
"You can't be serious." she complained.
"I'm very serious!" he called back. "Mind if I come up?"
"Yes I do." she responded, but moved out of the way anyways and sat on her bed.
He jumped up onto a window from the first floor before propelling himself up to her window on the second, pulling himself up through the small opening.
Ash's eyes widened in surprise. He just scaled two stories to get to her!
"Ash I... Is there any way I can convince you to stay behind...?" he pleaded.
"No." she said blankly.
He sighed. "Okay. Then promise me something."
She looked over to him him questioningly.
"You'll let me help you. I... I can't have you getting hurt again..." he smiled sadly and looked down. "But you held your own against a gang. You're the strongest one of us, and I'm so sorry I didn't see it before." he apologized.
She looked up at him and he noticed the tears streaking her face. He sat down beside her and smiled softly as he reached a hand up to wipe them away.
"I'm-" she sniffled, "I'm still mad at you."
He pulled Ash lightly towards him, and she gave in, laying her head on his chest. She sobbed quietly into him and he wrapped his arms around her.
"Hey Ash can we ta-" Maia stepped in before seeing Conner there.
Ash sat up quickly, wiping the tears from her eyes.
"Oh hun..." Maia soothed. "It's okay."
She sat down on Ash's other side and gave her a hug before pulling away and looking at Conner.
"So, I know you didn't come through the front door."
"I uh... came in through the window." he admitted.
"On the second story?!" she asked in surprise.
"He was like a spider." Ash giggled.
"It was nothing." he said, embarrassed. "I should probably go though- my brother will kill me if I'm not there to watch whatever sports show he's into now." he rolled his eyes.
"Alright, I'll leave you to your goodbyes then." Maia said, walking out.
Conner stood up and Ash followed suit. He pulled her into a hug. He felt so warm and comforting to Ash. He pulled back and gazed into her eyes for a moment.
"Would you mind?" he asked.
"I, uh, no not at all!" Ash babbled, flustered.
He caressed her cheek before tilting her head up and kissing her. Ash squealed on the inside- this was her first kiss! She have been practically an adult, but romance hadn't interested her much until she met Conner.
She leaned into the kiss before pulling back. Her cheeks were red and she didn't know what to say after that.
"I'll see you later Ash." he said with a smile.
"B-Bye!" she stuttered as he climbed back out.
She fell back into her pillows happily. After too many hours of being awake, she drifted off peacefully.

Imagine having a guy who would parkour up two stories for you :'). Please vote and comment if you liked this chapter. According to my story notes, Charlie's name was actually supposed to be Chester. I don't know how I managed to mess that one up, but I guess it's a little too late to change lol. Stay safe! <3
