Prologue

Life is full of surprises, you don't even know what will happen next, what will happen in the future, i knew that life is full of surprises but i expected mine was a surprise full of happiness and delightfulness in life, we all wished for a better life, i was living my life searching for the good in it, i never stopped hoping that someday there might be something good will happen, and then one day everything went black

Nakaupo ako sa silya nang biglang bumukas yung pinto ng bahay namin, i saw my daddy and mommy, i immediately went to them and hugged them, as if my hug will atleast ease their pain, i couldn't stop crying since we heard the news about my brother, i couldn't stop.

"Adam! Ano ba naman yan, tawagan mo nga ulit yung anak mo!" Mom shouted.

Tumayo si daddy at kinuha yung phone nya, trying to contact my brother, I felt that something's not right, it's already 1 am in the morning and my brother isn't home yet, usually around 11 pm he's already here from his law school. But i kept telling myself that i was just overthinking, we shouldn't react like this perhaps my brother is already 22 years old.

"Mommy, wag ka nang mag alala siguro naman pumarty lang si zon, he's already 22 years old" i said calmly, but my heart is beating so fast, after all my brother isn't the type of man who goes into parties, he's the type of man who always stay at home, simple he's a nerd one.

I texted ilios, wondering where he is. He didn't texted me or called me last 2 days. I guess im born with problems as my twin.

It's already 4 am when we heard the telephone rang.

"Yes? Speaking. What?! Wait are you sure? Im Adam Soleil are you sure?" My dad hung up the telephone and even drop it on the floor.

"Daddy? Anong nangyayari?" I asked daddy when i saw panic in his eyes

"Zanne gisingin mo mommy mo, didiretso na ako sa hospital, tetext na lang kita kung anong hospital" mabilis na sabi ni daddy.

"Daddy? Tell me what's happening?"

" Zanne for pete's sake your brother is in the hospital!!" My dad shouted

Then after a minute, i heard my dad's car at umalis na sya. Tumakbo ako papuntang kwarto nila mommy at ginising sya, my mom immediately stood up and went to the hospital.

I immediately went inside my car and search for my power bank, kung saan kailangan na kailangan ko yung phone tsaka naman lowbat! Pilit kong tinatawagan si ilios to tell him about zon, close sila ni zon and ilios is my boyfriend so i should tell him about this, i wonder how's he doing, i shouldn't be like this, my brother is in danger and i still keep thinking about ilios, i couldn't stop myself, something's not right.

I arrived at the hospital and went directly to the nurses to ask if there's a new admitted patient just a few minutes ago, god knows how much i love my brother! I was crying when i saw my mommy and daddy just staring blankly in the floor at the hallway, my daddy saw me and immediately wrapped me around his arms, i can hear my mom sobbing.

"daddy? Anong nangyari kay zon? Bakit sya andito?" I asked.

"you're brother joined a fraternity group! Why the hell i didn't notice! Of all why fraternity! Hindi ko na alam, ito yung sinasabi ko sa kanya bago sya pumasok ng law, someone in his group brought him here to the hospital" my dad said

"Zanne yung kapatid mo, yung kapatid mo nasa OR . Broken ribs at unconscious sya nung dumating dito" my mom said sobbing.

"Zanne naabutan ko pa sya, nakita ko sya bago sya ipinasok sa OR, halos di ko na sya makilala, halos basag yung mukha nya tsaka yung tshirt na suot nya punit na, hahanapin ko sinong gumawa nito papatayin ko kung sino man" sabi ni dad, ngayon wala na yung tapang sa mukha ni daddy, i saw fear in his eyes, as well as mom's
