Chapter 15

" What happened last night"? Ashley asked and touched her head and winced in pain.

" You drank too much wine and you had a nightmare in the middle of the night" Tyson said.

" I just wonder if you will be able to handle yourself at the party later on" Mike said.

Ashley rolled her eye, " Don't worry about me. I have Tyson" She replied.

Tyson blushed when he heared her say that.

" Look at how Tyson is blushing" Mike said.

They all looked at him and laughed. Tyson clucked his tongue and ate his food.

" Ashley, Pro will be here on Saturday. She will be spending the night" Dian said.

" That's nice" She said.

She didn't seem interested or even hear what Dian said. She just replied. She was really deep in her thoughts. The party, accident, rape, nightmares and abuse.

" Hello earth to Ashley" Mike said.

Ashley quickly snapped out of her daze, "Oh I'm sorry what were you saying"? She asked.

" What are you thinking"? Dian asked.

" None of your business" She rolled her eyes and walked to the kitchen. Her phone vibrated. A message popped in her phone.

Unknown number: Hey sweetheart, long time.

Ashley asked, " Who's this"?

Unknown number: The guy who's going to be your boyfriend soon. But anyways i hope you're coming to the party later so i can tell you who am i" He smirked.

Ashley looked at the text and didn't reply. She kept thinking on who this might be, but there was no luck at finding out. She thought it was Mark and then denied and then thought about Troy and denied again.

She then kept thinking so hard and then Mike interrupted her.

" Hey are you okay? I hope you aren't thinking about not going to the party" Mike said.

" Oh, no I'm fine" She replied.

" Come and sit with us" Mike said.

Ashley nodded and they went to the living room.

" I sure hope I'd hook up with a nice hot ass girl at the party" Mike said.

" Don't you have a girlfriend"? Dian asked.

" Bro I'm single and ready to mingle" Mike replied.

They all laughed and continued to talk. An hour later Akeelah joined them. Her and Mike were now clicking and vibing again. Ashley kept looking at them, she thought something was going on between the two of them but she thought she was reading to much into it.

" Ashley, Mark was asking me about you" Akeelah said.

Ashley snapped out of her daze, " Eh why was he asking about me"? She asked.

Tyson, Mike and Dian looked at them wanting to know more about this.

" I don't know, he just said he's hoping to see you at his party"

" Oh okay" Ashley said.

" Why do i get a feeling that there's more to this than what you guys are telling us"? Dian asked.

" There's nothing"! Ashley snapped.

" No need to bite my head off, i was just asking" Dian raised his hands as a sign to surrender.

" Akeelah, can we talk in private please" Ashley said.

" Yeah sure"

They stood up and walked outside. They sat down on the bench that was under the tree.

" Girl Mark irritates me hey i don't wanna see him" Ashley said.

" I know friend and I'm sorry i talked about him infront of everyone" Akeelah said.

" It's okay friend"

" Found what you're going to wear"? Akeelah asked.

" I was thinking of wearing a black tight dress with Black Timberland boots and a very long Brown jacket" Ashley said.

" That's perfect. I was thinking of wearing a blue denim ripped jean with a black stripped tank top with the Black Timberland too and a long Black jacket" Akeelah replied.

" You're going to look breathtaking in that, so what's happening between you and my brother Mike"? Ashley asked.

" Uhm it's complicated babes you won't understand"

" Try me"

Akeelah let out a huge sigh before talking, " Uhm we had made love"

" OMG!!" Ashley exclaimed excitedly.

" Yeah hey, girl it was amazing. We connected again. It was like we were dating again" Akeelah replied.

" When did it happen? Where"? Ashley was now fishing for more details.

Akeelah laughed," Yesterday, he booked a hotel and called me saying he wanted us to talk. It was early in the morning before you came to me"

" Wow girl, so what's happening between the two of you now"?

" I don't know hey" Akeelah replied.

" I heared him saying he wants to hook up with a hot ass girl at the party" Ashley said.

" Yeah well he must do whatever he wants. I guess it was just sex and i was fooling myself" Akeelah replied.

Ashley could see the pain in her eyes and cursed herself for saying that. But this was her bestfriend she had to tell her what she's getting herself into.

" I'm sorry friend"

" It's fine. I should go now see you when you guys pick me up" Akeelah replied and walked away before Ashley could say anything.

Ashley then went back to the house and sat down on the couch with the others and let out a huge sigh.

" What's wrong"? Tyson asked.

" Nothing is wrong babe, I'm fine" Ashley lied. She wasn't fine at all. She had flashbacks of all the things that happened to her. And she was scared that Mike is going to hurt her Bestfriend again. 😔

They all prepared theirselves. They got out and ate and then went to the garage. They decided to use Tyson's car. Tyson was the Designated Driver of Today.

They got in the car and drove off. They stopped at Akeelah's house. She came out and sat at the back next to Dian and Mike.
