"Good afternoon Ma'am! I'm sorry for the delay. Thank you for choosing Mariko's Kitchen for you to dine. Enjoy your food Ma'am!" ngiting sambit ko habang inilalapag ang kanyang order sa mesa.

But my smile faded when I've seen her face. I never expect that she will be here. It's been 3 years since I've seen her smile. It's the same with his.

"Ate Ely," mahinang sambit ko.

"Hi Yan! It's been a long time," she bubbly greeted me.

"Good afternoon Miss." I greeted her with a smile.

"Naku Yan, 'wag mo na akong tawaging 'Miss'. Just call me Ate Ely," She said.

"Uhm, yes po Ate Ely. Do you need anything?"

"Wala naman na Yan, but can you join me? Like, chitchats." Sabi nya nang may pagaalinlangan ng hindi nya tinatanggal ang ngiti sa kanyang mga labi.

Gusto ko mang humundi ngunit hindi ko kaya. Ate Ely is so fragile, I can't reject what she asked.

"Uhm. Sige po Ate but I'll just get some drinks." I told her.

She nodded as a response.

Nang makabalik ako sa table, nagsimula na kaming mag-usap ni Ate. We talked about things na pinag-uusapan na naming noon pa. She also asked me the usual things na tinatanong kapah matagal tagal bago ulit nagkita and of course we talked about boys and such *face palms*

"Btw Yan, he is doing well. Great actually." She suddenly said.

I was a bit confused because you know bakit naman yun sasabihin ni Ate Ely. I think she saw my confused look and then she said,

"Ow, I just want you to know kasi syempre malay ko ba kung gusto mong malaman o itanong or nah. I really don't know what happened between the two of you at ayoko ko naming manghimasok but I wanted to know if okay ba kayo parehas."

I am not shocked when she asked me that. Of course no one knows except the two of us and Tanner, of what really happened.

"Care to share?" ate Ely asked.

"Uhm, I don't know what to say but I really don't know if we are okay ate," saad ko.
"We didn't talk after what happened. I cut all the possible connections that may lead me to him because I wanted to breathe. I wanted to see for myself if my life would be the same without him."

I heavily sighed after what I said. But all of it was true. I wanted to breathe.

"But I was wrong." I added. She glanced at me and her eyes were clearly saying that it's okay even if I don't tell her the story but I wanted to tell her some glimpse of what really happened.

"Many things changed after I left the Philippines. And no one know that I left."

"You see that guy?" Then I pointed my finger to Tanner na sinunod naman ng mga mata niya. "He was the one who helped me." I said.
