"So, what exactly is our full plan for tonight?" River asked me as I sat down between Ace and Roman at lunch.
"Well, after the cheerleaders do their half-time performance, you'll hack into the projector and speaker system on the field and play the video I sent you," I said, taking a bite out of an apple.
"What's on the video?" Roman asked from beside me. I was having a hard time concentrating with his leg pressed up against mine and his arm brushing against me every time he moved.
I shook away thoughts of Roman and me as I looked around at the guys with a big grin. "It's a surprise."
Ace groaned as he threw his arm around my shoulder. "Come on, Ultraviolet! I thought I was your best friend now."
I laughed as Maddox scowled at Ace's arm. "She doesn't have to tell us. We'll all see tonight anyway." Wow, way to kill the lighthearted mood.
I rolled my eyes at his tough-guy persona. "Just wait until after the performance is over. That way all of the attention is focused on Vicki."
The guys nodded in understanding. "Hey, guys." A voice purred from the end of our table. I looked up, seeing Lisa batting her eyelashes at the guys and bending over enough to see down her shirt. I don't even know what she was trying to show off. The girl is literally as flat-chested as an eight-year-old boy.
"What?" Maddox asked harshly, giving her his usually blank stare.
Her eyes widened slightly but she kept the same flirty smile on her face. "I'm having a party tomorrow night. You guys should come." Her eyes trailed over to me as if she just now saw me for the first time. "Sorry, Violet. You're not on the invite."
I smiled as I glanced over a few tables away at a guy. "Actually, Lisa. Your brother already invited me. Me and him are very close," I said suggestively.
She clenched her jaw and glared openly at me. "I don't even understand what guys see in you. You're seriously the biggest slut at this school."
I laughed as the guys glared at her. "I didn't just come over here to flirt with a group of guys. Unlike you, I don't have to throw myself at anyone to actually get laid. It's 2020 for fuck's sake. I don't need to ride some guy's dick to know my self-worth." I raised an eyebrow at her when it was clear she didn't know how to respond. "Now, run along." I shooed her away and went back to eating.
"You and her brother slept together?" Maddox asked in a tense tone.
I shook my head laughing. "Hell, no! Me and him are good friends. I only said that to piss her off."
"So, a party, huh?" Ace asked, knocking my shoulder with his.
I laughed as I shoved him back. "Yeah. I might hate Lisa, but her and her brother's parties are always the best."
"You don't have any ulterior motives for going, do you?" Roman asked with a raised eyebrow.
I shrugged innocently. "No. You know me, I just like to party."
He smiled smugly and winked. "Oh, trust me. I know." I know that we were both thinking back to summer break, but I quickly pushed those thoughts away as I brought my attention back to my food. I didn't miss the curious glances Maddox was giving me and Roman though.
"So we'll meet up with you at the game around 7:30 tonight?" River asked, breaking the uneasy tension at the table.
I nodded my head. "Even if you don't see me, play the footage. No matter how tonight goes, play all of it." I gave them serious and stern looks.
