Maddox's POV

I watched as Violet downed cup after cup of alcohol as she observed everyone in the room. I saw her smirk at that fucking guy she brought as he danced with some girl. I felt some inexplicable anger when I saw her walk in with her under his arm. She's mine, I mean ours.

I couldn't believe that she was out having fun when we left her only a few hours ago, crying in her bedroom. This girl drove me absolutely crazy, but in the best way possible.

"Hey, man. We're heading out. We'll look into getting everything ready," River said, bumping shoulders with me.

I nodded my head. "Make sure it's untraceable. We don't need that shit coming back on us."

"Oh, you know, Riv. He'll get things done. Especially for Ms. Ultraviolet over there," Ace smiled, moving his lip ring with the action.

I looked over at Violet, noticing that she was watching River and Ace leave as she downed yet another cup.

"You know, you need to quit being such a nosy prick with her," Roman muttered next to me.

I turned my head in his direction and narrowed my eyes. "What the fuck is that supposed to mean?"

He sighed before turning towards me. "You do things just to get a rise out of her even though you know she hates it. Then, you go and try to pry into her past. We made a deal remember? Meaning we don't ask and she doesn't have to tell. What happened to that?"

I clenched my teeth in anger. "Maybe I find it amusing when she gets mad...maybe I like it. That doesn't mean anything though"

I watched as Roman's face got a little closer. "So you're not into her like that then? You're not mad that she brought that guy instead of asking us to come?"

"Hey guys, do you need anything?" That annoying girl who talks shit about Violet asked, butting into our conversation.

I only let my brain think for a split second before I wrapped my arm around her and steered her towards the steps. She immediately melted into my side and started talking a mile a minute. I glanced over, making eye contact with Violet as she stared blankly at me.

I felt myself get irrationally angry at the fact that it looked like she didn't care. For once, I wish she would show some kind of emotion towards me other than anger.

Lisa pulled me up the stairs and down the hall towards an empty bedroom. I pushed her up against the door, shutting it heavily. I pulled her face towards mine, kissing her angrily. I couldn't help but think that this was wrong. Her lips were too thin, too rough. They weren't like Violet's lips which were full and smooth.

Lisa reached for my belt, tugging on the leather material before I broke the kiss and pushed off of her.

"What?" She asked, lips reddened from the rough kiss.

I shook my head, wiping my mouth off on the back of my hand. "I can't do this," I said, opening the bedroom door.

"It's her, isn't it? Violet? I don't understand what any of you see in her?" She yelled, the voice carrying to me at the end of the hall.

I turned around looking at Lisa in pity. "It's okay to be jealous of her, but you don't need to talk shit about her all the time."

She opened her mouth before closing it and shutting her bedroom door closed. I walked downstairs, noticing that Roman and Violet were missing. I know that I probably just fucked up my chances by going upstairs with Lisa.
