My head is thumping as heavy drops of rain fall and darkness overtaking my surroundings.
In the alley where I was left beaten up, I knelt down as I groan the pain felt all over my body. I strongly grip my hair with my both hands, and hit it occasionally to stop it from overthinking.
"Finish what I ordered you to do. Kill her." I kept hearing those words coming from the man's husky voice.
His aura is frightening as his dark brown eyes scream only death. The man was looking straight into my soul as he played a knife with his tattooed fingers.
The next second, my head was covered in a sac and two men gripped me by my arms as my hands were tightly tied at my back.
One punch to another and one kick to another, they ended up leaving me here in this alleyway. I knelt down, fighting my way through the excruciating pain.
First hit - revealed a vision of me stabbing the man's heart as he tirelessly screamed for help.
Second hit - revealed a chaotic scene where I pointed at a man's head, pulling the trigger of a gun I am adept to holding.
Third hit - revealed a memory of my mom being beaten up to death by his husband after I come home from school. Enraged by the sight, I punched the man and strongly held him by his neck. Letting my anger overtake me, I stared at the man mercilessly till he took his last breath. My first kill.
Fourth hit - revealed a flashback. "Kill her." The same man from a while ago said as he gave me the picture of my next victim. I intently stared at the woman, named Jennie Kim. I was curious to why this mafia leader wanted her killed but I didn't bother to ask. "Consider it done, Mr. Jeon."
I shouted in agony as endless memories come back, flooding my thoughts with the sight of multiple deaths and pool of blood.
When I finally got a grip of myself, I held the wall to help me balance myself as I stood at my place. "Kill her." I hear again.
I unsteadily walk through the street till I'm standing in front of her apartment. My body is dripping wet from the harsh raindrops sent by the dark clouds.
I broke the front window and entered through there. The noise from shattering glasses overlaps with the sound of heavy rainfalls hitting the roof.
I took a piece of glass lying on the living room floor with my bare hand, unbothered by the sharp edges stinging my skin.
My legs automatically brought me upstairs, leading me to her room.
I am now standing at the side of her bed, gazing at the figure of the woman who will be dead later.
My right hand is already bleeding from my tight grasp of the glass. I need to finish it now. It's already passed deadline.
My heart unknowingly aches at the thought of her being lifeless, the thought of her not breathing, the thought of her gone.
Pushing my feelings and thoughts aside, I raise my hand holding the deadly weapon. With just one swift movement, everything will be finished.
I halted for a moment as the woman shifted her position and is now facing me. My heart beats faster and harder as I got a sight of her face.
She's sleeping peacefully as her soft black hair falls effortlessly at her side shoulders. The long lashes coming from her alluring eyes compliment the symmetry of her sharp nose. Her plump red lips screams for my lips to reach hers.
This is the serene face I always yearned looking at for each second left with my life.
She slowly opens her eyes, and got shocked at the sight of me. Her eyes enlarged and her lips parted as she shifted her gaze at my raised hand with the glass pointing at her. Her body trembles in fear.
"Taehyung" She softly whispered.
Her voice sent shivers down my spine. I held the glass tighter, not minding the dreadful pain in my hand and the continuous blood it caused dripping on the floor.
I blankly stare at her until a tear escaped my eye.
As she realizes what's bound to happen, she gave me a gentle smile while tears started falling on her flushed cheeks.
She closes her eyes and lowers her head, waiting for the glass to touch her skin and sink deeply into her flesh.
The sight of her being hurt is the last thing I wanted to see. It broke my heart into pieces.
I finally dropped the glass from my bleeding hands and hurriedly took her by my arms, hugging her tightly as time passes by.
"I'm sorry. I will never hurt you. I love you, Jennie." I whimpered through my heavy breaths as I freely let go of the feelings I was holding back. What was I doing?
I'll do anything for her. Anything.
She silently cried as she buried her face at the nook of my neck. I held her tighter as I caressed my unwounded hand at her soft hair, not wanting to let go of her. Her warmth relaxed my troubled heart.
She slowly placed her hands on my shoulders, gently pushing me to break the hug.
She avoided looking at me as she painfully uttered, "Leave."
My whole body weakened from that one word that left her lips. I turned both of my hands into fists, trying to control myself from hugging her again.
Not moving an inch, she was forced to look at me with her saddened and tired eyes.
