"She's not picking up?" I asked, taking another sip of my pepsi. Josie sighed and shook her head. "But she posted on her story that she was with Sebastian like 15 minutes ago." Aaron added, scrolling through his instagram. "Not gonna lie, she's acting suuuuper sus." Josie remarked, a scowl on her face and crossed arms. Aaron shrugged, "Well at least she's having fun." That was Aaron for you. He was always calm and collected, I can't remember a single time when he was actually legitimately mad or annoyed. He was too chill.
Josie, on the other hand, had opinions about everything, was always hyper, and loved to talk. She was a hot-headed cutie, though. She'd never admit it but she had a crush on me, and it was around the time that I was still with Aaron.
"Who cares? We should just go out ourselves." Josie says as she jogged in place, though I still feel a slight sense of uneasiness from here. Aaron and I share a look.
He shrugs and relents and so do I.

We get to the usual taco place that we always went to but realized that our spot had already been taken by two familiar faces. It was none other than Sebastian and Heather. I hadn't realized how close they had gotten. She even excluded us now.
I tap on Aaron's shoulder and point towards the direction they were sitting and laughing at. Aaron was usually unbothered but I could sense that he was a little disappointed. He sighed and shrugged at me. Before I could get to Josie , She was already 3 feet away walking towards the pair. I didn't think this would go well but I didn't think it would go that bad either. Josie was basically fuming, I swear I could almost see the smoke coming out of her ears.
Aaron caught up to her and before she could go any further he stopped her. They exchanged a couple of words before she finally relented.
"We'll just go to another place." He told us, I was fine with that. I just felt some type of pang in my chest whenever I saw those two together. They did nothing wrong I just felt anger, or something. I couldn't explain it.
We got to another place, it was a quaint italian restaurant packed with regulars like us. It was well known on our block so we knew most of the people that went there.
They all asked us the same thing, which was funny because the questions weren't even about us. It was about Heather and Sebastian, and the status of their relationship. I could tell Aaron was getting fed up with it, and he usually never cared about anything that much.
After we ate, Aaron took Josie home and I wandered about here and there. It wasn't safe to be walking around by myself so late as a girl but I made it home safely anyways. That was about the time I saw Sebastian about to enter his apartment until he turned around and noticed me.
"Hey." He greeted, a surprised look on his face. I waved nonchalantly at him without saying a word back.
"What are you doing?" He asked, his voice was laced with curiosity and suspicion. I try to find something to say. "Uh, going into my house?" My words were laced with the tiniest bit of sarcasm. He chuckles to himself, "Yeah. Right, I meant like...do you wanna come over or something?"
A part of me wanted to say yes, but then again I was somehow mad at him. I don't know why but I just was.
"I'm really tired Seb, I think I'm gonna hit the hay." I reply. A disappointed look crosses his face. He subtly frowns, "Oh, okay. See you tomorrow."
"Sure." I say goodnight and shut the door behind me. Once I hear him enter his place I leaned against the front door and slide down. I sigh.
"Hit the hay?" Really?!
I scold myself internally. Who even says that anymore? Somehow, whenever he's around. I turn into the biggest dork. Normally, I'd call myself a really relaxed person because I don't get bothered by anything, really. Around Sebastian, it was differed.
He made me feel heartache.
