The one and only Emilio walks into the house. Oh my lord...
"Come on Sophia, please go to the party! I think your cousins are going to and they wanted you to go and have fun!" Amanda whined
"I'm too tired and I don't want to I don't really like going to parties." I said
"Please I think Emilio will be there. He just broke up with that girl. Maybe if you go you can dress up, show off those curves, and he will notice you!" She said and then slapped my ass.
"Ow! And who knows." I said and looked down to my feet as I sat on the edge of my bed.
"You will know if you go" she said confidently.
"Yeah but If I stay I can plan more for my quince."
"You have time but you need to have fun and have a social life. Please come, I have the perfect dress for you!" She pleaded
"Fine. But only this once and I'm not staying long."
"Okay, let me go grab the dress." She said as she headed to her house. She lives next door to me.
She came back in few minutes, handed me the dress, and I changed into it. I loved it!

I curled my hair and did my makeup.

That's how I did my makeup. You can add up the look. The dress, the makeup, and curled hair. Boom. Damn. I did look good.
"estas mas caliente que el infierno" (You're hotter than hell)Amanda said as I walked to get my red heels then slapped my ass again haha. This is a normal best friend relationship, trust me. We waited for Julieta, Kiara, and Matteo to pull up to my house to pick us up. I waked to the car and Julieta and Kiara share comments like, "muy bonita mi prima!" Or "Damn Soph, you look fine as hell." But Matteo said, "Go back inside and change into leggings and a hoodie." We laughed at him but he was just being the over-protective cousin that is like my brother. All of us except Carlos was going, he got stuck watching Leo.
After 15 minutes of driving we arrived. There were red solo cups everywhere and teens grinding on each other. Gross. So with my group, none of us drinks or does anything 'inappropriate' because like we say, "mamà lo sabe todo" (mama knows everything). The only ones that do would be Julieta and Matteo but they would only have one cup of something and that's it.

The one and only Emilio walks into the house. Oh my lord help me. He looks so handsome and wait. Oh my- did he just look at me and smile. I smile and turn around. I whisper to the group, "Oh my guys umm Emilio just looked at me and smiled. Uh oh." I nervously say then Matteo stupidly says, "the one that is walking over here?" "I swear Matteo if you are lying-" I was cut off by a deep voice.
"Uh hey, aren't you uh- Sophia?" I was shocked I turned around and replied, "uhm yeah I am, Emilio right?"
"Yep, do you want to go get a drink." He asked
"Uhm sure but It can't have any alcohol in it, I would be beaten to death by my mom." I nervously said and he laughed.
He grabbed my hand and it gave me shivers he walked us to the kitchen. People made room for him since he was Emilio. He grabbed himself a beer and gave me a cup of water.
"So, um why did you bother coming up to me?" I asked
"Well, if I'm being honest I've seen you around before and thought you were cute. And when I walked in here tonight I saw you looking gorgeous and knew I should talk to you before some perv tried getting into your pants." He said
"Oh umm- you thought. I looked-" he cut me off.
"Yes, I know your thought. 'Is he just saying this to sleep with another girl' but no I'm not. You are unlike any other girl I've seen or heard of. In a good way. You don't just sleep around with guys and beg for attention, I know this because I heard guys say you turn them down because they sleep around and you don't do that. You are one smart girl Sophia. And I thought you should know, you are one special girl. I knew I should say that because from what I can observe about you, you were thinking that" He was right.
Wow. Those words were just spoken about me out of Emilio Perez's mouth. Like I'm not even half as pretty as the other girls in school, I'm not at all athletic, and I'm not skinny. I'm not usually "boy-crazy", but never in my lifetime would I think someone like the Emilio Perez would say something like that about me, to my face.
"W-Wow, umm thank you."
"Anytime, and before you say anything no, I haven't been stalking you." I laughed then said, "is that just your cover up?" We laugh then he asked me, "want to dance? I'm not a good one but I know some moves because my family loves dancing."
"Sure and same." He offered his hand and I took it. We walked to the dance floor and just danced I moved my arms around shaking my body just the awkward dance you do when you can't dance but you want to. You know what I mean?
We danced until Amanda came over, "Sophia! We have to go now, Bible bingo night is ending in 10 minutes! We have to leave or none of us will get home on time and we will get hit with the chancla!"
"Oh crap, I'm sorry Emilio I have to go. Uhm see you on Monday." I said as being dragged over to the rest of the group. Before you ask. All of our parents go to our church every Friday night for some sort of event and if we aren't home and in pajamas then we have a meeting with the chancla. If you know what I mean. And I takes 15 minutes to get to Amanda and mines house, 10 for Julieta and Kiara. And then about 5 minutes for Matteo. Which is hard because we drove in Matteo's car. But then I forgot, Matteo's parents don't get home until like 30 minutes after the event ends because they are the type of parents to stay late to help clean up and talk but show up late. Leo and Roberto is having a sleepover, but poor Carlos got stuck watching them before my tia comes home.
He first drops of Jules and Kiara before they got out I said, "Hey Jules, Kiara? Thanks for tonight. You helped bring me out here by telling Amanda to force me to come and then you helped boost up my confidence. You two are the best." They thanks me and left once we arrived at Amanda and I's house I thanked Matteo as well, "Matteo, thanks for being the big brother I never had. At the beginning of the night you told me to change Into regular clothes because you don't want to see me in a dress like this since I'm still the little one of the group. And thanks for messing with me when the guy I crush over, came by, I had lots of fun tonight. Thanks." "Yeah no problem lil sis from another miss. Love you!" He yelled as I walked away.
"Love you too big bro from another hoe!" I yelled and giggled then quickly yelled "kidding tia Valentina es no hoe."
"Good I thought you called my mamma a mean word haha just kidding I know you're just messing around. Night!"
"Night." I said as I was at my front door yelling across the lawn to a idiot of a cousin.
Hey everyone! Please comment you're thought of what I ave so far. I'm publishing this right after I wrote it to see if anyone reads it and gives me feedback. My Spanish isn't that good It's not my first language but I do sometimes talk to my family in Spanish. If you can't tell by that I am a Latina. And proud of being Mexican. I have other stories as drafts and not sure if I'll publish them. But any ideas in any do my stories and my own so please do not reuse my thoughts or ideas.
