Long distance (Kakashi x Male Reader)

Chapter 2: Old Friend

Disclaimer!: This story takes place after Naruto is born, Naruto's around 5 years old in this story, you are around the same age as Kakashi at this time which is 19 (In case you didn't know).

—2nd POV—

"Where're we going Guy?" You question, "Tsk- I'm surprised you remember my name (Y/n)!" He states.
"I know where to find Kakashi, though he might be training", "Ah, thanks" You thank him.
"Hey! Though it's been awhile since you last saw him, I'd recommend you'd give him some space" he states.
You look at him with worry in your eyes, "Why not?" You question, "I think it's best he tells you..." Guy recommends.

—small time skip—

"Here we are!~" Guy states.
You look at him in confusion, "This is the woods" you point out.
"Bingo!" He states, "Kakashi always trains in these woods! But remember to give him some space!" He reminds.
"I- o... okay" you agree and enter the woods, you look back at guy "Hey Guy, are you coming with?" You ask, "Sorry but no. I think it's best he sees you, it'll make him happy" he claims.
Before you could question him, he immediately jumps off leaving you alone.
'Great...' you think as you walk further into the woods.

'The woods are beautiful' at least you think so.

You watch as the sun shines it's rays past the leaves of the trees and illuminates the path in front of you.
You couldn't help but look at the ant colonies working together to survive and the lonesome beetle climbing the oak of a tree.
You walk up to the tree and pick up the beetle, it immediately flies away but it leaves you with a smile on your face.
You've been fascinated by insects since you were little and you like their company, it reminds you that you're not alone.

You take a step forward but as you stepped forward you were interrupted by a kunai knife zooming right past your face, nearly missing.
You stood there in shock.

"Stay where you are" a familiar voice says.

You do as they say not wanting to die before you see Kakashi.

"Kakashi.." you whisper under your breath.

They heard you and they pop out of the bush they were in.
You couldn't help but stand there in shock as Kakashi leaves his bush.

"Who are you?" He demands as he stares into your (e/c) eyes.

"Y-you don't recognize me..?" You whimper

He looks at you and tries to remember.

"Haha.." you silently giggle, "It's me (y/n)"

He drops his kunai knife and you can see the look of disbelief on his face, "I-" before you could say anything Kakashi pulls you into a tight hug.

'He's crying, something's up. I'm gonna find out' you think

"(Y-y/n)... I'm glad you're back..." he pouts.

You pull away from the hug and wipe away the tears on his face.

"What's wrong?" You ask, "Guy told me you might need some space"

You stand there with him in the woods for a couple of seconds before he speaks.

"I-I know you just got back -but I'm going through a difficult time right now..." he states, "and you coming back is all I wanted and now you're here...", "I'll tell you what happened later, but right now I need some consoling" he says.
"Of course, whatever you need" you comfort him as you pull him into another hug.

He cries into your shoulder as you pat his back trying to comfort him.

"Hey" you grab his attention, "Let's go to the Ichiraku ramen shop... You can tell me all about it there" you console.

He sniffs then chuckles "That sounds nice.." he states.

"Good now let's go! You're getting covered in webs the longer we stand here" you chuckle.

You both let out a few laughs then start to make both of your way out of the woods.

"Hey (y/n)"

"Yeah?"

"I missed you..."

You blushed a bit at his statement.

"I missed you too Kakashi.."
