Chapter 6: The Night

—2nd POV—

"Thanks for coming!" Teuchi shouts.

(Y/n) POV

Kakashi and I left Ichiraku's ramen then when it dawned on me, I don't have a place to stay at for the time being until I get my next mission from lord third.

*Kakashi looks at you*
"Something wrong?" He asks,

Crap he noticed! Think of something... Think of something...

"Hey um Kakashi?"

"Yeah what is it (y/n)?"

I start fiddling with my fingers then ask "C-Can I stay at your place for the night?" I had a blush plastered on my face.

Kakashi looks at me surprised,
"Sure" he smirks,

"Really!?" I say with a big smile.

"I-I mean sure why no-" I interrupt him and hug him.

Kakashi starts chuckling awkwardly, I look up to him and smile.

"I love you Kakashi"

"I love you too (y/n)" then he hugs back.

We stand there squeezing and nuzzling each other for a few seconds.

I hear rustling coming from a nearby bush and get off of Kakashi's chest, Kakashi notices it too and pulls out a kunai.

"Who's there" Kakashi demands, I love it when he gets in his serious tone, out pops a blond haired boy, he looks around the age of five.

Before Kakashi and I could say anything the blond haired boy runs off leaving a trail of tears behind him, "Who was that?" I ask, "That's the nine tails kid" Kakashi responds.

Kakashi shows no empathy towards the situation and walks off, I follow after him.

"Hey, don't you care he's alone?" I ask, Kakashi looks at me with anger in his eyes "Why should I care? The beast inside him attacked the village!" He angrily states.

"So what if he has some of the nine tails' chakra, he's still a kid. It's not like the beast inside of him is controlling him" I justify, Kakashi looks over to me and sighs.

"I don't hate him- at least I don't want to... But the beast killed lord fourth and I can't forget that. Lord fourth was my sensei and I can't forget that" He states starting to get teary eyed, "Hey Kakashi! It's ok, I didn't mean to bring up a touchy subject!" I apologize.

"It's ok, I just need you right now..." He admits,

—2nd POV—

You pull his mask down and kiss him.

"Mmf!" Kakashi groans not expecting a kiss, you break away and put his mask back on him, Kakashi blushes.

He looks at you with the look of shock, you smirk at him "C'mon let's go! It's freezing out here" you shiver, Kakashi snaps back into reality "Oh!- yeah let's go"

When y'all walked off you saw the kid again and couldn't help but feel sorrow for him, he notices you and stares at you.

All you could do was mouth the words "I'm sorry" and he reads your lips then looks back at the ground.

(Timeskip)

You and Kakashi arrive at his house and you're exhausted.

Kakashi unlocks the door and leads you to his room, you approach his room door and he opens it.

It's organized and has a lot of room.

"Huh!?" You exclaim, "What is it?" Kakashi asks, "It's organized, spacious, and clean!" You point out, he only chuckles.

"I'm guessing you weren't expecting this hm?", you nod, "wait a minute... There's only one bed" you point out.

"Oh yeah... About that" he starts scratching behind his neck "I can sleep on the floor" He declares.

"N-no! This IS your room so you can sleep on the bed!" You insist, "But you're the guest-" "No buts! It's your room.", a sweat drop goes down Kakashi's face, "Fine" he responds.

"Good. Now let's get to sleep, I'm tired" you say, Kakashi looks at you as you gather your clothes together to use as a pillow.

"(Y/n)..." he says, you look up at him, his face is flushed.

"Let's sleep in the same bed" he declares with a blush on his face, you blush "R-Really!?- I mean, that's fine by me." You respond covering your blushing face.

He smiles a bit then grabs you by your waist and looks at you in the eyes.

"(Y/n)... I love you, and by sleeping with you I'm showing that I do love you, so why don't you give it a chance?" He pleads.

Your blush reddens "W-When you say it like that it sounds like we're doing more than sleep!" You state looking away, Kakashi only chuckles.

"Well it's up to you" He says before going into the restroom to change into his pajamas.

Once he's out you do the same.

You leave the restroom in your PJs and Kakashi smirks, "Soooo... Did you make up your mind?" He asks.

There's a couple seconds of silence until you respond, "Shut up and sleep with me..." you guiltily say and he smiles (he doesn't have his mask on 👀).

You climb in bed with him and he smirks at you, "Kinda surprised you're sleeping without your mask on" you comment, "Why should I? You know what my face looks like already, plus you said I look handsome without it" he state, you turn away blushing, "True" you say.

He turns to turn off the lamp and once he turns off the lamp you pounce on him.

He lets out a gasp as you pounce on him, "What was that for?" He chuckles, "I'm making up for those five years" you respond.

Before he could say anything you kiss him, each kiss getting more heated, you then stop yourself.

"Why'd you stop?" He smirks, "Why? Did you enjoy it?" You question flirty, "Yeah..." he responds.

"Want me to continue?" You ask, "Yeah" he blushes.

"Well too bad because I'm tired!" You state, he whines, "But come on!~ Why are you teasing me?~" he asks.

"I'm not teasing, I just wanted to kiss you before I went to sleep" you state.

"Then why was it so heated?" He questions, you look away and blush "Sh-Shut up!.." you playfully say, "Alright then" he chuckles.

He grabs your waist and pulls you towards him, you enjoy him cradling you, it feels like he's protecting you.

"Kakashi?", "Yeah (Y/n)?", "I love you" then you kiss him, he kisses back then breaks the kiss "I love you too"

He soon falls asleep still holding your waist, you chuckle a bit then close your eyes.

*'I hope tomorrow will be a great day...'* you think before falling asleep in Kakashi's arms.
