Chapter 10: Backstory

—quick Author's note—

Yes I have returned, this chapter is basically some backstory to stall for some time for the next chapter -w-',, anyways this chapter takes place when Kakashi became the youngest Jonin at 10, so this takes place 3 years before your 5 1/2 year training session so you're the same age as Kakashi.

—Your POV—

I've heard great news today, Kakashi didn't tell me anything but Guy doesn't know how to keep his mouth shut so he told me everything.

Don't get me wrong I'm glad for Kakashi but at the same time I'm peeved he didn't tell me this.

How could he not tell me he became a Jonin, I would've celebrated with him.

Oh well I can't dwell on the past now, I wanted to get him a gift as a reward for becoming a Jonin, so I got him something.

I got him some silver colored roses because it matches his hair color and I heard from Kurenai that grey is Kakashi's favorite color, I also decided to make him a bento full of his favorite food Salt Broiled Saury with a lime slice if he wanted to add some.

It's pretty embarrassing thinking about Kakashi being a Jonin and me still being a Chunin, well he deserves it, he works very hard and now he's earned the ranking as The Youngest Jonin so I shouldn't really be embarrassed but I still am.

—2nd POV—

You started to make your way to the forest where Minato trains Kakashi, Obito, and Rin.

You were clearly excited and blushing a bit thinking about Kakashi, but then your excitement was ultimately crushed by the fact he's more than likely not gay.

You still keep some of your happiness by the fact of seeing Kakashi and his possible reaction of receiving your gift.

Kakashi always manages to keep a straight face but when he does break his straight face, the usual emotion he shows is agitation.

You've only seen Kakashi happy a few times and all of those times he was happy, you cherished those memories.

—Kakashi's POV—

Minato sensei was starting to get agitated at Obito, Rin, and I.

He was getting angry because we weren't cooperating with each other but honestly I could care less, I work good enough on my own.

"Is this really how you all are going to act?" Minato scoffed, "If you want to win high-ranked missions and defeat strong opponents then you have to work together!" Minato explained.

Obito starting get angry as usual, "How do you expect me to work with him!?" Obito shouted pointing his finger at me, I only sighed, which made Obito even angrier.

"Lay off of him Obito" Rin defended, "It's not Kakashi's fault he's so cool" Rin complemented, I felt sweat roll down my face, what Rin said worsened the situation.

"Oh yeah!? Well if he's so cool then why doesn't he face my firey fury and my potential Sharingan!?!" Obito objected, "You're not worth my time Obito" I said in full honesty, that was the last straw for Obito.

"Oh really now!? Well how does my fist feel!??!" Obito shouted running at me with his fist clenched, "Obito stop!-", Rin attempted to stop Obito but was cut short, Minato sensei blocked the punch, "Cut it out you two" Minato sighed, I scoffed, "Why do I have to try to cooperate with a knucklehead like him?" I pointed out.

"Both of you are being knuckleheads, you won't work as a team like this" Minato scolds, "Obito's the one being difficult!" Rin defended, "You aren't helping the situation either Rin. You only side with Kakashi, but you need to understand Obito too" Minato explains, Rin stumbles back a bit, "I... Sorry sensei" Rin apologized, Minato only scoffed at the apology.
