I took one last glance around the barley visible room and plopped my head on to the cushy pillow. Slowly pulling a fluffy blanket over my body I couldn't help but feel, content, and safe. A feeling I hadn't felt in a long time.
Closing my eyes and slowly giving into the soothing temptations of sleep I could hear muffled noises on the other side of the paper thin walls. To lazy to care, and to stubborn to give up this warmth I drifted into sleep.~~~~~~
"Here sweetheart, make sure to hold on tight to that okay? These tickets are important!"
"You got it dad!"
"Alrighty me and mama will be right back you just sit here, and remember stranger danger okay? Sit close to the gate lady alright?"
"Okay!"
~~~~~~
DING! DONG!
My e/c eyes fluttered open at the chime of the door bell. I checked my phone immediately, '6:27am, so if that rat bastard didn't wake everyone up ringing the bell then maybe I can write a letter about me having to get to work or something and sneak out early. I know it sounds mean to just dip, but I can't handle being fat from home. Or around people for that matter."
The room was now dimly lit as the shy sun began to gain confidence and the clouds parted ways.
Slipping on my shoes, and placing the sheets carefully back in the place they had been last evening I tip toed down the stairs ever so cautiously, and started a scavenging hunt for paper and a pen.Drawers?
Nope
Counter
Nah.
Coffee table?
Damn it!
"Maybe they would be in-"
"So, do you always snoop around peoples houses? Or is this a special occasion?"
Startled I spun on my heel to face,
The one,
The only,"G, I can explain."
"Can you? I'd like to hear your reasoning."
"You see, I have work, but I don't just want to leave without saying anything so I was going to place a note in the kitchen or something."
He smiled and walked over to some cabinets that heals a small fish bowl on top, opened it and handed me an order emoji coloring book, crayons, and unicorn stickers.
"First off, how old do you think I am, second why unicorn stickers for an emoji coloring book?"
I rolled my eyes glancing at the colorful stickers.
"Here."
He took one of the crayons and flipped through the book until he found the right page.
"I whatcha doin'?"
I asked curiously
"There ya go little one."He bent down placed the book in my hand yet again with that famous smirk.
I looked down at the page, to see a poop emoji with the words
"TᕼᗩTᔕ ᗷᑌᒪᒪᔕᕼIT"
I looked up at him, unamused of course
"What do you mean? I have work how is that so hard to believe?"
"Dove you have been kicked out of your nest and hit your bead to hard. Are you forgetting that I know frisk? She's told me all about you. Including the fact you work with her. So I know what time that cafe opens and closes. You don't have work for the next few hours. So why are you really snooping around?"
"I-*sigh* okay, look. I'm not lying about the note. I really do just want to leave a fake note about work or something, because I just can't be far from home for to long without having anxiety and stress levels being increased and I'm in an unknown place with people I barley know, even if they are nice, they are still new. But now that you point it out they'd know I was lying."
"Heh, I can help you out if ya want."
"R-eally?"
"Sure, But I now have an IOU that I can use on you any time."
"No way!"
"Okay fine, you want me to start making breakfast? I'm sure everyone would love to catch up with you a little bit."
"Fine."
"Great, here's my number. Remember anytime I can use this. Now, get going, I already talked with Frisk about when she'd be getting home so I knew if I'd need to stay here with you for a little bit after everyone went to work, she said she'd be at work on time, and then you guys can go home after."
"Thank you. thank you thank you!"
"Of course, see y'round sweetness."
"Uh huh. Yeah, see ya."
