PAUL'S P.O.V.
We're getting out of here tonight. I can feel it in my bones. All of our vamp sides are antsy, on edge. Joints tight with tension. This should be fun. Especially since we have no idea what the girls have planned. But we have faith in them. All will be well, right?
My ears start ringing as the sound of revving motorcycle engines fills the house. It sounds exactly like our bikes! What the hell is happening?
I look around frantically, trying to find the source of the noise, but I find absolutely nothing out of the ordinary.
A few minutes later, we hear a song playing and high pitched laughing.
We sit straight up when we hear the door to the basement opening. We can barely see the light coming from the other end. The Frog jerk with the red bandana races down the stairs with a panicked expression on his face. He stumbles to a stop in front of the cell we're being kept in. We all flash our vamp eyes at him as he stares in our direction.
Thanks to our advanced senses, we can make out voices upstairs. My chest tightens when I hear a voice I know I can't live without.
"What's down there?" I hear my beautiful Sam ask right before I hear more than one set of footsteps come running down the stairs.
"Wait girls! Don't go down there!" I hear the Emerson kid yell at them as more footsteps come barreling down the stairs.
I watch with anticipation as the girls make it to the last step. Oh hell! I roll my eyes. Courtney has lost her balance yet again and tumbled down the last step. She lands directly in front of our cell with a loud thud. Her hair falls into her face as she tries to get back up. Sam rushes to help her, but before she can get her to her feet, Courtney locks eyes with each of us.
Our eyes are glowing brightly in the dark, so I can only imagine how creepy we look right now. But they're used to it, so it should be fine.
Courtney lets out a girly ass scream and points at us with a frightened look on her face. Sam gasps like she's scared too.
What the hell is wrong with them? Why are they acting scared of us? Why are they wearing David's shirts? And while I'm at it, what the hell have they done with their hair? None of this makes sense! I feel David opening the mind-link:
David: They have to be playing stupid with these guys.
Dwayne: Of course. They're smart ones.
Marko: I wonder if they have any single friends?
Me: Now's not the time for that, Marko. But later, I'll ask them for ya!
David: Anyone else notice how different they seem to be acting?
Dwayne: They're acting like scared little girls. It's a bit... alarming.
Marko: I think it's absolutely genius! I mean, who the hell would suspect a couple of innocent young things of trying to free a group of vampires? No one, that's who! Who's with me? Team girls!
Me: Team girls all the way!
Dwayne: ...........
David: No.
I watch the red bandana Frog kid watching the girls closely as he flips on the lights. But he won't find anything suspicious about them. They seem to have thought of everything. From their hair, to the way their eyes shine with innocence, to the way they're dressed, to their young sounding voices...these girls are good.
