Fireworks

Chapter 7

(A/N: Going to do like a major time skip here. This is were things are going to get exciting I hope. You have been warned)

It has been two years since I've met my brother, Joey Richter. Its been a wonderful two years. Joe and I are still together and Brian and I are the best of friends still. I have also became close to Lauren and Jamie as well. But things with Joe seemed to have, I don't know, slipped some? I don't really know how to describe it. He just seems to be paying less attention to me whenever I'm around or on dates or whatever. Like last week, we were on our 2 year anniversary date and couldn't stop texting someone. He had just joy on his face and when I would ask him a question he would either not hear me or when he would look at me and listened, some joy and light left his eyes and his smile would falter. I haven't seen him a couple because I have been feeling sick lately, he hasn't come by to see me either. I mean, he has been by the house, but not to see me. Brian is here though, but he also seems to be more preoccupied with his phone and whomever he was texting. "Who do you keep texting? Did you finally meet a nice boy? If he hurts you I'll kick his ass." I said smiling.

"Well, yeah sorta, I guess." He has a blush creep across his face. and I laughed at his cuteness. I then quickly ran to the bathroom and threw up. "Fuck, I probably ate something bad the other and its taking its good old time to get out of my system." I said as I walked back into my room, but Brian was gone. I looked at my phone and he had sent me a text saying Nick and Matt needed help doing some writing for a new script. I shrugged it off and sat on my bed as Lauren and Jamie came into the room. "Hey guys!" I smiled

"I thought Brian was here?" Jamie asked. 

"He was, but the Langs asked him for help, so he left while I was throwing up." I said nonchalantly. They both looked at me. 

"You feeling better?" Lauren asked. and I nodded. 

"When was your last period?" Jamie asked. 

"Umm.. Probably about..." Then my eyes widened. "I'm late. Like 3 months late!" I said panicking. Lauren then grabs her bag and pulls a pregnancy test out. "Why do you have this?" I asked taking the test from her.

"Doesn't matter. Just go pee on it!" She said. I ran to the bathroom and did as she said. About 4 minutes I emerge with the stick and look at Jamie and Lauren. They were staring back at me. "Well?!" Lauren said. They don't know Joe and I are together. 

"Its.... its positive." I said, still not believing what was happening. The squealed in excitment.

"First starkid baby!!" Lauren squealed. Thank God no one else is here.

"Do you know who the father is?" Jamie asked smiling. I just nodded. "Well? Are you going to tell us?" She asked.

"My boyfriend of two years." I just said. I knew they were going to ask who that was and shit and I was right.

"Boyfriend?! Two years?!" Exclaimed Lauren. "How did we not know?!"

"Its probably because he some tall, dark and handsome stranger she didn't want us to scare off." Jamie laughed and Lauren laughed with her.

"Not exactly." I said while sitting on the bed beside them.

"So, we do know the mystery man?" Lauren asked. I nodded. "Then who is it??"

"Its...... Walker." I said barely audible. But they heard it. Loud and clear. 

"WALKER?!" They both yelled. Both getting wide eyed. and I just nodded.

"Fuck! Cass! Joey is going to murder Walker when he find outs!" Lauren was yelling now.

"Shh.. I know! That's why we never told anyone about us. We didn't want this reaction or the one Joey will have." I said.

"You're going to have to tell him. Joe and Joey I mean." Jamie said. 

"Ill go tell Joe first. I mean, he is the father, he deserves to know." I said getting up to get dressed. The girls helped me and gave me hugs as I left the house. They said they would stay here and wait till I came back. I headed out the door and to Joe's apartment. I took out the spare key he gave me and opened his door. When I opened the door I froze. There, sitting on the couch, was my boyfriend and best friend. Kissing. "You, know... I ain't even mad." I said causing them to stop and look at me. They jumped apart and stood up. 

"It's.. its not what it looks like." Joe said as Brian was quick to cover his face from embarrassment. 

"No.. no Joe its exactly what it looks like. I just... I'm so stupid. I should've known." I said laughing but with tears coming down my face. 

"What do you mean?" He asked. His face also turning red from embarrassment. 

"It was so obvious. They way you looked at each other and how you were both constantly on your phones. They way the joy in your face would falter whenever you looked at me. It was so obvious. But like I said. I'm not mad. Who am I to keep two people from being with each other. Especially my first true love and my best friend." I turned to leave.

"Wait." Joe grabbed my arm but I pulled it away. 

"Don't Joe, just because I'm glad you two found each other, doesn't mean I forgive you for cheating. Or forgive Brian for going behind my back." I continued to walk away. I got back into my car and I drove home. Lauren and Jamie were still there just like they had promised. When they saw my face they knew it hadn't gone well. They hugged me and we all sat on the couch and I told them what happened. Jamie was looking at me sympathetically and Lauren looked like she was going to beat them with a bat. "I just don't know why I could've been so stupid."

"Why are you stupid?" Joey asked when he came home. He must've heard that part when he walked in. I stood up and he saw my face. He was by my side almost instantly. "What happened?" He asked.

"Joey..." I took a deep breathe. "I'm.... I'm pregnant." His eyes widened in disbelief and then in anger. 

"Whose is it?"
