Chapter 39

 

Yura POV

We’re all ready with our jumping vests and everything. There’s only the jumping left for this adventure to come to an end. Oh God! They totally have no idea of how frightened I am at this moment. I must think of a way to escape from this nightmare.

“Yura! Yura! Come here! Let’s do this together, okay? I wanna jump hand in hand with you!” Reina dragged me almost at the edge where people bungee jump. I stood stiff as I avoided myself from looking down.

“Uh… R-reina…” How am I supposed to excuse myself from doing this jump with her? Think Yura, think! Just before I could even think of a solution, Woohyun spoke up. I turned back to see him  staring at me as if he’s in deep thought but then it was only for a short moment as he turned to face Reina.

“Reina, let’s do the jump together instead.” He suggested.

His suggestion made me felt relieved. He somehow helped me out of my terrible situation. Oh! Could it be that he knows my fear of heights? No. What am I thinking? Ofcourse he’s doing this simply because he wants to do the jump with Reina.

“Oh why? I wanna do it with Yura this time Woohyun-ah.” Reina pouted.

“Maybe I’ll pass for now Reina. You can just do it with Woohyun. I-I’m actually not feeling well.” I finally got to excuse myself but still it was mostly thanks to Woohyun.

But why do I feel like he actually suggested it for me? Stop assuming things Yura. There’s no other motif of him asking Reina to do the jump with him. You’ll only get disappointed in the end.

Woohyun POV

“Yura! Yura! Come here! Let’s do this together, okay? I wanna jump hand in hand with you!” Reina called out Yura and dragged her at the edge.

Since earlier, I noticed that she’s not comfortable about something. From the rear view mirror, she kept on shifting on her seat at the back seat of the car. She looked anxious that time. I thought that maybe I’m the reason behind her anxiousness (I’m a bit conceited, yeah >:) ) but now I get it.

“Uh… R-reina…” she stuttered as she stood stiff beside Reina.

Obviously, this girl’s afraid of heights. She was pale earlier in the car but now that we’re standing almost 40 feet tall from the ground, she looked a hundred times paler. She could’ve just been honest and told us that she can’t do bungee jumping but remained silent and went on with Reina’s adventure of the day. Such a stupid girl. I sighed internally.

“Reina, let’s do the jump together instead.” I suggested almost immediately after my realization of Yura’s situation. She really owes me this one.

“Oh why? I wanna do it with Yura this time Woohyun-ah.” Reina pouted.

“Maybe I’ll pass for now Reina. You can just do it with Woohyun instead of me. I-I’m actually not feeling well.” She gave her a small smile.

She must be feeling relieved by now. I just saved her from disaster.

“Ok fine. So I guess you won’t be jumping then. You know what, Woohyun just accompany her down and you two could just wait for me below while I’ll do this jump.”

“U-uh… No, I’m fine on my own. You can both do the jump.”

“I insist Yura. Now that I noticed, you do look pale. Just let Woohyun accompany you. Woohyun can you do me the favor?”

“Yeah.” I answered back casually with the thought of just doing a favor to Reina and nothing else.

“Thanks! Yura just go with him and you’ll be fine. I’m sorry but I really wanted to do this bungee jumping for a very long time now and I only had this chance and courage to do it today.”
