2: Keeping up with the lie

When Wolf woke up, the first thing that was brought to her mind was the lie that they had told Lio.

"Ah, shoot." She whispered, stretching and yawning softly.

Wolf shook the two boys awake, earning a few grumbles and 'Five more minutes.'

She rolled her eyes and kicked them, "Wake up!"

The boys yelped and woke up, eyes wide with fear and confusion, glancing around the room until their eyes landed on Wolf.

"Finally. Now come on, we need to figure out a way to keep up with the lie." She said impatiently, crossing her arms.

"Already thought of that." Benson replied with a yawn, stretching then getting up.

Dave yawned and stretched, but didn't respond as he got up and walked out of the tent, leaving a worried Wolf and Benson.

"So, what did you think of?" Wolf asked as she suddenly couldn't get Kipo out of her head, wiping her eyes when they threatened to show the tears.

Benson didn't seem to notice, as he began explaining. "Basically, he will ask if Kipo's alright or something, or if she came back. Anyway, just follow my lead."

Wolf nodded with a sad expression when he said, 'Kipo.'

The two walked out of the tent, to see Lio jogging over to them with an stern and confused expression.

"Where's Kipo? Is she here?" He questioned, glaring at the two.

"Oh she's here alright! She's just sleeping, she didn't come back until, like, really late. So she'll probably sleep until the afternoon or evening." He responded like a normal human being which shocked Wolf completely.

Lio seemed to buy that, as he nodded, "Thanks." He answered and walked off with a wave.

"Ok, so, now what?" Wolf asked, crossing her arms and narrowing her eyes.

"Now we wait to see if he finds out. Or just keep him from checking to see if 'Kipo' is okay." He said while doing the quotation marks when he came to 'Kipo.'

It hurt, seeing Benson do that. It made it seem like Kipo was never an actual person.

Wolf sighed and nodded, sitting down in front of the tent, Benson joined her.

She waited, seeing if Lio was gonna come and accuse them for lying.

Or to check up on 'Kipo.'

Wolf hid her face in her knees, wishing that the tall girl was there with her, saying things that made no sense.

She'd do anything to feel Kipo's hugs, how warm and genuine they felt.

How much she loved them.

"I promise, I'm coming back for you!"

She sniffled and wiped a tear from her eye.
