Circling the area for about 5 minutes, Levi finally found a parking spot. The walk to your unit would take less than a minute but with the bags of food and his belongings, the two of you would have to take your time. Of course, none of you minded. It had been a while since you and him talked.

Stepping out of the car, you juggled the food as he took his bag from the back seat. Slinging it on his shoulder, he locked the car and took the paper bags from you. The streetlight did no justice to the pretty face he still cared for. Offering you his arm, you stared at him with wide eyes but accepted nonetheless.

"Hmm~ Just like old times." You commented as your building grew closer and closer. "It's been a while since a guy offered me his arm like this."

"As expected." He scanned the area for any unwanted people. The feeling of being followed had not disappeared ever since he turned the block and parked the car. Not wanting to tell you, he kept his mouth shut but his senses sharp. "The both of us dwell in paper works."

"True. How's the Scouts?" You asked as you held on a little tighter on to his muscular arm. His scent was still the same. Spicy and woody. Your thoughts wandered for a moment. How in the world did you not end up in bed with this god right here. Sure, the make out sessions were hella hot and steamy but it was just that.

"Shitty eyes sends her regards. Eren's been a little off lately. Erwin's still Erwin." He answered. Pulling you closer to his body. Your warmth had not changed. His eyes fell on to your lips for a few seconds before shaking his senses back. He was the one who let you go, he was the one who broke your heart for months, and he was the one who swallowed his pride to fix what he destroyed.

The two of you were now entering the building. It felt as if Levi were in a time travelling machine. Memories he once stowed away came back. Whatever dates you two could fit into your schedules, he would always bring you back home. On rare times, he would find himself staying for a few hours but never once did he touch you.

Realizing where his mind was heading off to, he flipped the switch and thought of her. He still hadn't told you about her but he intended on. It was just a challenge knowing the chemistry between you two were off the charts. Yet he wondered, did you find someone else? Or were you still holding back?

Moments had passed and his things were now placed inside the familiar drawers. Your unit barely had any differences, save for new decorations and rugs. Changing into a loose shirt and sweatpants, he exited the guest room and waited for you on the sofa.

'Damn.' He cursed. Not wanting to relive the memories, he took it upon himself to prepare the take out.

Meanwhile, inside your room you had just finished changing into your home clothes. You were about to step into the dining area but your head jerked back to the jacket resting on your bed. Knowing full well that Levi could tell whose this was, you carefully hid it under your blanket. Making sure to flatten it.

Checking your phone for any messages, you were met with one.

Chisaki:
Call.

Your cheeks flushed when you recalled changing his contact name. The message was sent a few minutes ago. Looking at your door, you slowly sat on the edge of your bed and tried to remember if you had any business with him. Or if he knew about what happened with the chief eavesdropping on your conversation. Hitting dial, it was no surprise he picked up before the ring could end.

"Problem child." His voice sounded a bit irritated than you were used to.

"Yes, Birdman?"

"I have just received information that you will not be my companion for the stake out." He had just gotten the news moments ago. This particular night was not working for him. The silence on the other end made him pissed. "Answer."
